The Helium Centennial Time Columns Monument, located in Amarillo, Texas, contains four separate time capsules that are opened after different durations. The fourth capsule is scheduled to open 1,000 years after the monument was sealed in 1968 .

The time capsule at Chinook Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is scheduled to be opened on December 31, 2999, after having been sealed in 1999 .

Millennium change, 4th millennium . It hadn't happened since December 31, 2000, until January 1, 2001. And it won't happen again for another 1000 years.

In a Colombian variant of the song Happy Birthday, the final verse indicates that birthdays can continue to be celebrated until the year 3000.

According to the release date of Fabula Nova Crystallis, the video game Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII takes place in this century, 1000 years after the events of the previous installments.

In the Power Rangers Time Force series, four of the protagonists (Jen, Lucas, Katie and Trip) come from the year 3000.
In the Japanese series Mirai Sentai Timeranger, four of the protagonists (Yuuri, Ayase, Domon and Sion) come from the year 3000.
The video game Borderlands 2 is set in the year 3000.
