A-Z, gay as can be!
I think at just about every point in my life I had been in some way shape or form an outcast. Even in preschool I remember being singled out to little brats with the teachers and students wrapped around their miniscule fingers. Kindergarten, it only persisted. Third grade, ah the year I’d rather die than set foot in a classroom. To have ‘friends’ that are nothing but and even though they are so young they still call you worthless. To have your best credible friend have given you a concussion (okay I will admit it was an accident), and be hopelessly ridiculed for having a crush, by your crush. They say these are the best days of our lives, I say they live in ignorant bliss. Then again I’m nothing but a human and we learn cope. Simply put…
“There will always be people who say mean words because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. But there are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. Those are the people whose words truly matter.”- Kory Anders
Indifference suits me, like with a cloak I’m draped. It has taught me that the world isn’t happy and people will stab your back a hundred times rather than correct their own mistakes. I also know that adults are nothing more than large children, selfish and only realizing those they care for. I recognize that even someone that you idolize can let you down in ways unforgivable. Hard as it may seem, I learn through experience. Though as I reminisce I still can’t believe I was told to, countless times I might add forgive the girl who tried to strangle me in the 1st grade, just more ignorance towards truth. Humans are imperfect, and nothing can be pure. That is the only known truth to man and if we hold on to that… we may find another and then just maybe we could change.

To most, height can be seen as a status symbol. It makes sense right, we’ve all looked down the eight grade hall way and thought. I better get out of here because we were frightened of the looming darkness it beheld. Okay, I’m exaggerating… allot. Really though, the truth is, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. If you’re tall it doesn’t mean you’re power hungry or power crazy. All it really means is; you have a genetic enhancement, unique to you and or your family that enables the bone structure…. (*keeps babbling uselessly in scientific terms*) If you think about it, there was many a short, puny dictator in the world. Hitler was short. So is Kim Jong-Il, depending on who you are, even George Bush. Does the term, don’t judge a book by its cover come to mind? Any way, every one who knows me, or even just sees me in the hallway , knows I’m tall, but if you really know me, you know what I’m not.
