I haven't watched the Merlin S4 premiere yet, because I'm just not sure I can deal with yet another season of Merlin not revealing his magic and Arthur not realizing his dad's a deranged despot that had should have dethroned years ago. We'll see how long I hold out.

I am planning on watching the Doctor Who finale sometime this weekend. I may not like these recent seasons as much as the RTD years, but Amy/Rory has become one of my primary OTPs.

And... still in that fiddling with bookmarking place. I wanted to keep a backup copy of my bookmarks on Diigo, except the import isn't working. I tried to upload an html file exported from Pinboard and it will put me in the queue, and then say that it worked and my bookmarks uploaded, but then nothing is there. Lovely. I don't want to tell it to import everything from Delicious, because my bookmarks in Delicious are FUCKED. I want to import the html file DAMN IT. DDDD:

Also, I have been trying to think of a way to replicate the Subscriptions feature from Delicious... and since Pinboard offers a RSS feed for my Network and for any tag... I thought maybe setting up RSS subscriptions in Google Reader might be the answer. But, ok, I'm not really experienced with RSS at all and am not sure I'm doing it right. I'm unsure that Google Reader is really updating the subscriptions without me having to hit Refresh, and I'm distrustful that it's always giving me the new information that should be available even when I hit refresh. Has anyone tried this with Delicious, Diigo, or Pinboard... using RSS to manage tag subscriptions? What program did you use? How did that work out? Advice?

I'd especially like to be able to alter the display, because I can see from the source XML that there's tons of information available in the RSS file but not all of that is displaying in Google Reader.

Writer's block is a fucking killer, especially when you have two open kinkmeme WIPs. I keep trying to drink oceans of coffee, stare at Word documents, and re-read everything I've written so far, but nooooooo. Nothing helps.

People who have-fandom known me for awhile may be aware that my brother is a fandom lurker, and occasionally we share recs and such, and he's been trying to be encouraging -- which should actually help since he has somehow only just discovered astolat (which means he keeps sending me shrieking like "sam! dean! horse fucking!" and "JUSTICE OF THE PEACE IS THE BEST" and "ha ha thor's life", and also bookmarks through delicious, and when we went out to grab dinner last night he retold the entirety of that fic where elves steal Sam and Dean's memories andthentheyhavesex. (never mind that he always skips the sex because he is one of those magical rare unicorns aka straight guy who reads occasional slash along with gen fic)

And yet still I can find no fannish love in my heart. It is a cold, dead place that does not wish me to write ANYTHING. *weeps*

I've found that it's really Arthur and Mark that are the deal breakers for me in the Merlin and Social Network fandoms. I just cannot ship Merlin/Arthur or post-movie!Mark/Eduardo seriously if Arthur and Mark aren't sincerely sorry and for all the right reasons. Obviously, the whole Arthur thing is way more serious. Being complicit in the marginalization & persecution of a minority and many horrific executions >>>> amoral or irresponsible business practices. But the basic idea is the same. Arthur needs to be sorry for being a member of a ruling class that was doing terrible things & participated in their rounding up of people in gross ways -- not just because of how it affected Merlin personally. Mark needs to be sorry that he used legal maneuvering to take away stock that rightfully belonged to an employee -- not just because he did it to his best friend.

In general... there are 2 very different kinds of future!Marks that I can envision for TSN. One that I actually enjoy. And one that I just want to shoot in the face and then bury out in the desert. My complicated feeeeelings about depositions!Mark is that I'm never 100% sure which Mark he is.

edit: The majority is definitely J2, and there's a lot of Dean/Castiel, but it looks like something around 50-60 people were guessing they might do Sam/Dean. My wild guess is that in execution (including drop outs, plot changes) we'll get like 20 wincest big bangs.

I've been consumed with a paper for my Master program that I JUST FINISHED. *punches air* So I haven't actually watched TVD or SPN yet, though I've saved them. But I thought I'd catch the stream of Merlin first, since it's the season finale. TVPC owns my life. ♥
