Red kills the guy who beat up Liz. Are we surprised? No.
Tom is sickeningly sweet in this episode. And kind of naive? He wants to run away with Liz, saying they can have a normal life and get away from Red, etc. Um, have you met you? I don't think it's going to be as simple as just moving to Boston. And I think Liz realizes that at some level. Her life can never go back to white picket fence because she's in danger just by being her.
Like, I was kind of all for Liz and Tom running away on his boat and leading the meandering life of international drifters. But them settling down with a baby and a teaching job? Not so much.
Innnnteresting that Red not only knew Liz's mother, but knew her when she was pregnant.
And of course, the baby. If she keeps the baby, I don't know how the show could work, since I don't know how she could do what she ends up doing every week with a baby. If she gives the baby up for adoption, that gets the baby out of the way for a while, but the possibility of someone finding out and using the baby against her remains. Red said he couldn't protect Liz if she left, and I assume that would be the same scenario if she gave the baby to someone else--that it would be out there as leverage that Red couldn't easily cover. Because in the world of The Blacklist, there is no such thing as a secret adoption. Oh, but haha to Red moving a security team into the apartment across from Liz's.
Haha, I guess Ressler and Navabi are not going to be a thing anymore. But <3 <3 <3 to Aram for hacking into the report and writing glowing things about her. Even if they are never at item, I'm glad they're back on the same page, and are friends again.
