First, the ending. Aram is cycling through a graveyard at night. I was, like, terrified that we were going to see him get shot by a sniper or something as he rode along. But no, he was there for an 'appointment' with Red. Aram still looks a bit nervous, and asks the perfectly reasonable question: "Why did you ask me to meet you at an empty grave?" And despite the fact the Red generally doesn't kill someone unless they deserve it, I, like Aram, was still a bit nervous as to where this was going. But it's okay, because all Red wants to do is thank Aram for saving Liz's life, and say that he's forever in Aram's debt. The weird relationship between Red and Aram has always pleased me, ever since Red was trying to find the mole and told Aram that if he couldn't reroute the money by the time Red stripped and assembled a gun, he'd shoot him. And then Red just sort of randomly demanded things of Aram, who he'd deemed as trustworthy, and Aram was too afraid of him not to do them. But in more recent times, Aram has been 'leaning' toward Red in a way, because Aram believes Liz is innocent and has helped her and Red get what they need. (I still particularly love when Aram came home to find Red in his apartment.) ANYWAY. So now Aram is in Red's debt, and on this show, having Red's loyalty and having him forever on your debt, not just a one time debt, is definitely a good thing.
What else. Yeah, I predicted that as soon as Liz went in the box that air supply was going to be an issue. Though I loved that Aram was the one who changed the code. And he changed it to NAVABI. *dying* I also liked Aram going so far as to draw a gun and try to keep them from taking Liz out of the building.
I do wonder if by the end of the season, all of the original task force is going to be out or against the FBI in some way. Cooper and Navabi already are, and Aram is on the way.
Tom continues to crack me up, though I call bad writing on no one killing the Director's cohort. You ARRESTED him? Dude, shoot him in the head! The guy took a fishhook to the neck (or whatever the hell the Director did to him); nothing you can do to him is going to get evidence out of him. I can understand Ressler not shooting him, but Tom? Seriously. Tom's basically a hitman. If Red had been there, he's have shot him.
Haha, so thing Red had in the case was U.S. money plates. I didn't get what he traded for the plates that would help save Liz, but I'm sure it will come up next episode.

Date: 13 January 2016 01:10 am (UTC)i couldn't figure out why no one shot whatshishair either! i mean, he was RIGHT THERE, ressler was RIGHT THERE, so why did they just cuff him? ressler thinks he can be used to clear liz's name? that didn't make a lot of sense to me.

Date: 14 January 2016 09:42 pm (UTC)I can see Ressler not shooting him, because he's so straight and narrow law abiding upright naive kind of guy, but TOM? JFC, SHOOT HIM, TOM! And they still have Karrakurt, who Red said held the key to clearing Liz's name.
