Well, this was a very dramatic episode.
Tom is my new favorite. I love that Liz took Red to Tom's place when she needed to hide. And I love that it seems like Tom might be spilling the beans on some stuff next episode. But mainly I love that Tom basically ruined his life FOR LOVE. Tom/Liz has become a very fucked up ship. He blew his operation because he got emotionally involved, and she now wants nothing to do with him romantically, but he's still totally in love with her.
Mr. Kaplan, however, remains the biggest BAMF of them all. She runs operations, kills people upon realizing they're carrying the wrong kind of gun, organizes emergency triage centers, and carries around $500,000 in a suitcase.
I love how Red has an emergency team ready to be assembled at the drop of a hat. He probably has one on call in every major city in the world.
We also got some Liz history there with the doctor. Obviously she had a life before Tom. Oh, but thank you for finally confirming that Red hired Tom to keep an eye on Liz from afar, or at the very least from a friend zone. Because Tom was not supposed to become emotionally involved, and certainly not actually involved with her. I did like the back story on that, as well as how it tied into Tom and Red's talk in S1.
I did love the "Is that all of it?" / "That's some of it." exchange.
And I love Liz realizing that the only way to get the hit called off was to prove that they had the Fulcrum. However I did a major WTF at her "keep it, we have copies". WHEN THE FUCK DID SHE HAVE TIME TO MAKE COPIES OF AN OUTDATED ONE OF A KIND ENCRYPTION MODULE? Given that all of this took place on a car ride from when the men entered the building to kill Red, I'm calling bullshit on the ability to make copies, even WITH the thing's creator riding along.
And of course we have Red's mysterious flat.
