I watched this movie, against my better judgment. It's pretty much exactly what I expected. It's self indulgent romcom fluffy fluff, but if you're in the mood for that, hey. However. It's made nearly completely unwatchable by the unbelievably STUPID character that wears too much pink. Her stupidity isn't funny AT ALL and she's just crass and silly. Embarrassment squick all over the place. I can't remember if she was that bad in the book or not but it's pretty horrible. I also can't remember how 'period' the resort was in the book, but some of their activities were not period here, lol. This is a stupid thing to get hung up on, but when the entire premise is that this is supposed to be a place focused on recreating the Regency era, yeah, it bugs me.
