Written for .   Yeah, I applied the Six Month Rule a little early, but this recip is a serial non-commenter, so to hell with that nonsense.

This was only supposed to be a 5K fic, as I'd already written my requisite 10k+ for Triple Crown… but then, as sometimes happens, I feel bad to see Pinch hits linger unclaimed, and then the bunny bit and infected me with plot.

Also, I just adored the Rostand quote from Cyrano de Bergerac that I came across while looking for a title that would cover both Fire and air/water:
