 I'm currently on page 5090 of my Homestuck reread (although, I don't know if that's quite right considering I never finished it), and I'm finding that the characters and dynamics I latched onto in my younger days no longer appeal to me, for the most part. I remember being all in on John/Dave, and it was a very important comfort to me in my teen years, but now I find their friendship hardly even interesting. 

On the flip side, I remember being sort of...let down when Roxy got sober, as if this girl I loved was going to change and no longer be as fun. This of course was due to how troubled I was as a teen, and how much stake I had put into drinking being my "cool" factor, and now going back I know that I'll be really happy and proud of her when I reach that point in the comic again. She's quickly become my favorite human, in contrast to John when I was younger, and I think that also shows some growth on my part. I had a really hard time as a teen with caring about female characters, whether due to my home issues and gender, or what have you. But now that I'm older and more settled, I really do love her. 

I'm looking forward to seeing more of the Beforus trolls. Kankri is one of my favorite characters in anything, and I love getting to play with characters that aren't very fleshed out in canon.
