I have a Sharepoint list that has two linked Power Apps forms - one for New and one for Edit. Everything seems to be working fine, aprt from:

If I double click on a record or click and choose Edit, the correct form opens (Edit). If I click New, the correct form opens (New). However, after using New, if I then go to edit a record, the New form opens again. If I click on the Edit All default option on the new form, it flips to the Edit form and is fine until I use New again.

If I refresh the page after using New, it's fine. I've tried using Launch("javascript:location.reload();") in OnSuccess to see if it would refresh the page automatically, changing various DisplayMode, Item and Sharepoint Integration potential solutions, but it's still not working. Can anyone help?

  • Have you added ResetForm() like SubmitForm(SharePointForm1); ResetForm(SharePointForm1);? Also, SharePoint Customized Power Apps Form does not need a separate Form for Editing. OnNew and OnEdit events of SharePointIntegration Object just need one Form Commented Feb 21 at 14:45
  • Hi @MatiurRahman. Which property would I put this in? In OnSuccess, I have ResetForm(NewEventForm); RequestHide(). Regarding the different form, I realise one isn't necessarily required (thanks, though), but it's slightly different. On the Edit one, certain fields are locked, and there's hyperlink text based on data in a couple of other fields. This takes the user to specific relevant records in our corrosion management database. On the New form, all fields are editable, and the fields the hyperlinks are based on are there. Does that make sense? Commented Feb 24 at 8:13
  • Is this a standalone Canvas Power Apps where you have New and Edit Forms? Or Customized Power Apps Form that lives within SharePoint? By default, the customized Form comes with one screen containing one form that can serve all three form mode like New, Edit and View. Do you have any custom buttons on the form or using default Save/Cancel links that come with the Customized SharePoint From? Commented Feb 27 at 2:46
  • Hi @MatiurRahman. It's not the default form, but it's not a full power app. So, I guess it's the customised power app form. As I needed slightly different info on New to Edit, I created the second form. Commented Feb 27 at 8:15
