First off, I've been so spoiled by being in France. While it is much harder to keep up with all my shows, I have pretty much been able to completely avoid commercials until tonight. So I don't know if it's normal or not, but there seemed to be a ridiculous amount of commercials during Grey's tonight.
About a week and a half ago, I picked up Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Three or four days later, I had finished the first three books. I wasn't expecting to become addicted. The writing is sub-par, the characters can be annoying, but the story... I just couldn't help myself. The books were easy to read, fun, and didn't require a great attention span.
Since I saw pictures from the movie (thanks EW), I thought I'd be picturing those actors as the characters (that's what happened with Harry Potter), but nope. I had such different vivid images of the characters, that I can see that the movie could be a letdown for me. Which is probably a good thing for me to think seeing as the film does not have a release date for France.
I'm not going to write some big post on my thoughts, at least for now. So I'll just say that I like Bella/Edward. I just want to hug Jacob half the time (the other half I want to smack him... or most of the characters for that matter). And Alice is the sweetest (I never want to smack her by the way).
That's all. I just wanted to out myself as a fan. And I am now eagerly awaiting Breaking Dawn.
I sat at my computer for two straight hours before I had to go to work hoping to download the episode. Of course, it did not pop up in time, so I had to wait excruciatingly slow hours until I was home from work and could download it and watch it.
I'm off to Aix-en-Provence until late Tuesday, so I won't be online for awhile. And as usual while I'm away, I will never be able to catch up on my flist, so let me know if anything big happens. Bisous!

Think this thing is trying to tell me something?? Like, that I went to school for the wrong thing? Not one of those careers really have anything to do with Business. Haha. I had no idea what it was going to tell me, because I chose "Dislike" "Very Much Dislike" or "It Doesn't Matter" for like 90% of the questions. But it pretty much got me right on.
I seem to only be having an internet connection in spurts since Thursday. It kind of really sucks. There's a problem with the cable itself, because it's not just the internet this time, but also the cable TV. Bites. Doesn't leave much for me to do.
Time Warner is coming Wednesday evening, so hopefully, everything will be fixed then.
For now, I will go continue watching Bones, because this show is addicting. Love Target's sales on TV on DVD.
Oh, and I saw Paris, je t'aime today. Amazing movie! Loved every second of it... okay, maybe not Elijah Wood's part, but everything else. Must see again! Hopefully, it comes to a theater closer to me.
I was making myself an icon from the Gilmore Girls finale, and well, one icon turned into a lot more, so I decided to post them here. I don't remember the last time I posted icons to share! And this is the first batch that I've made on my MacBook, so I have no idea how the coloring will look for everyone else... I know this screen is a lot brighter.
My f-list is full of Gilmore Girl love today. That makes me all sorts of happy. I love seeing all of this love (and I am already saying the word "love" too much).
Despite this happiness, I am overwhelming sad that tonight is the last new episode of the show. How can it be over? How? I do feel a little bit cheated (how can I not?), and even Kelly Bishop has said that it's unfair to us fans, but this post is not about that, so I will stop with this line of talk now.
I really want to do something special for the end of Gilmore Girls, I just haven't quite figured out what yet. I did top 10 episodes for Farscape when PK Wars aired and created a meme for the 10th anniversary of Buffy, but I just want to do something more for GG. Heather and I have a marathon planned for when I visit her! (Squee! Just a little over a week now!). Maybe the two of us can come up with something fun and cool for you all. We'll see.
And lastly, the fans of this show really are the best. Through good times and the bad, we have stuck together and will hopefully get an ending that will make us happy (even if we're left wanting more). Maybe it's because I stayed away from the boards and kept mainly to LJ, but I thoroughly enjoy being a part of this fandom. I love you all!
