The Soul Finds Its Way

(no subject)

Yesterday morning, my friend Jayne, whom I've written about here and here, finally succumbed to cancer. She was a strong woman and she held on to life far longer than the doctors expected.

We were friends for 12 years. I first met her through the recording studio where I worked as an audio engineer, and she was a voice talent for a radio program sponsored by a private company. When she left that company and set out on her own, I became her engineer/producer for three years. We had many adventures doing radio shows on KFI, KFMB, KSDO, KCEO, and various syndicated networks. Many of the shows we did were on location at such places as Big Bear, Napa Valley, Beverly Hills, and various locations throughout Southern California.

She was talented, ambitious, and a very loving mother. The primary motivating factor behind everything she did was the care of her two sons, Shane and Max, who are now living with their father in Arkansas.

She and I remained good friends long after we stopped doing radio shows together. She would refer to me as her 'big brother'. It was a privilege for me to be there for her during some of the most difficult episodes in her life.

I wish her well on her journey.

Peaches

Goodbye my dear friend

At 3:00 PM, my Peaches passed away.

She was with me though all sorts of events in my life.
She comforted me through sickness, heart break and tragedy.
She gave her love freely and never asked for anything but love in return.

Words cannot express how much I loved her.
Now, she's at peace and free from all suffering.
I held her as she slipped away.
I will miss her so much.
