Friends Only

Friends only - shadow

I've been meaning to do this for a while but never quite got around to it. I was patrolling xelaz_iconz earlier however and saw a bunch of awesome f-o banners, so here we go! I think everyone knows the drill by now. Comment to be added. I'm very friendly, I promise! :)

More Said the Spider stuff

I'm finally getting farther in Said the Spider. This is very good as it's due in for critique in 10 or so hours. Yaaay. I'm just glad I've almost got them into the forest. It won't be much longer now before Benjamin meets his fate and the story is done done done. Let's see... I've renamed my main girl again. Originally she was Arachne, then Aracana, and now Acacia. Acacia makes the title seem random, but I like it a lot better and now I don't feel like the other names in the story are completely out of time. Also, this story is kind of unsettling me. I really don't like how much like a cool, loving mother Acacia seems when I know where she's heading with that and know how to read into her words. :/ But that is the point, so it's not like I can write her any other way. It's just bothersome.

... I hope this still reads well when I'm rested up. ... I hope my class doesn't rip it apart. ;_;

I really want to go to sleep already, but I'm getting the feeling it'll be another Barely Any If Any At All sleep night. Blegh. I'm probably going to crash in my dorm after class and ask Brittany to wake me up before she goes to her night class. That way I can drive home to look after the dogs (I'm dogsitting for my mom.). Still, it sucks because I've got such a busy day tomorrow (today). I have a Russian test first thing, then calculus, fiction writing (yay story), and Japanese, shortly followed by a meeting with my conversational partner. Ack.

Back to writing with me. If I finish this before four, I might try for a few hours of sleep. We'll see. I'm nervous about my ability to wake up without aid though, so maybe not. :///

Edit Stopping for a few hours of sleep. Story is falling apart around me. Blegh.

World-building!

'scuse me while I copy and paste world-building information all over your f-lists. D: I just need somewhere to put this where I won't lose it.

Said the Spider-verse world-building with Lizzie, who is officially an awesome awesome GQMF for some of these ideas. (Later when I've dealt with all this school shit I'll get up the stuff Kristen helped me with. <333) Said the Spider was totally just gonna be a short-story for my class but I love this world to pieces right now and am so excited I will either do other things in the world or make it a book. I don't know. I need a plot. Oh god. *flails* Anyway. L = Lizzie, M = me.

Bunny Attack at Night

Oh man. Why do plot bunnies - the really ferocious ones too - only come to me when it's inconvenient? I was just bitten by a bunny with ridiculously sharp teeth and it's not wanting to let go. Arg! What a time for me to not be at home. I need my Stargate seasons, specifically episodes with Baal now. I am going to watch Stargate: Continuum tomorrow (today?) and hope very much it helps. If not, I will undertake this to the best of my abilities until I do get home to my boxsets. No worries about buggering through it all without; this one's gonna be long, I can just tell. *snorts* I had no idea when I wrote Blue Eyes Aren't Brown (Yoshio/Kage smut) that it was going to be the only short one from the 10 Whores lot. I should have seen it coming, I suppose. After all, this is Kage I'm using as my 'whore'; when has she ever proved easy in the sex department? So let's see, that puts my To Do writing list at:

Musings take two

So I'm writing, writing, writing, plugging along through my Kage/Kashoku pairing (Yes, you read that right.) story for 10 Whores - which is not at all as short as Blue Eyes Aren't Brown; I'm trying but I have so many ideas and Kage is digging her nails into Kashoku and refusing to let go and it just won't end and I am far too excited by this to try and force an ending - --- and it occurs to me. I really wish I were better at coming up with titles.

I need an epic, amazing, perfect title for this story. (Yeah, it's a story. Oops. I told you, it won't end! But that's not strictly true because I know how it ends, I do, I just have to get there.) I need a title. I'm very excited about it, and I love it to pieces because it's so much fun to write (and easy! Good lord, everything just spills out over the pages. I rarely have to sit and go "Wait, will that work? Is it possible?"), and it's hopefully going to be fabulous and well-received when it's completed, but I need need need a title. Every story needs a title. Even papers for English class need titles. My epic modern lesbian AU has no title, and it makes me sad.

Home

What's in a cell that isn't in a house?
A house - a home? - a house
and walls and doors and you
and me...

What's in a cell that isn't in a house?
A cell - a comfort - a cell
and walls and doors and her
and me.

What's in a cell that isn't in a house?
A house - a home? - a house
and why are you like this;
why am I?

What's in a cell that isn't in a house?
A cell - a comfort - a cell
and she isn't there;
neither am I...

What's in a cell that isn't in a house?
A house - a home - a house
isn't a home.
...Forget it.

What's in a cell that isn't in a house?
A cell - a comfort - a cell
shouldn't be a comfort.
Forget that...

Creative Writing assignment

Mr. McKenzie had us write a story with our character using whatever prompt we wanted. I finally did mine, and I kind of like it. It's not terribly Motsie-like, but I don't know... Some of the things hinted at explain a bit of that to me... I decided to entitle it Sleepthief because their music in a way inspired this and because it seemed right to do so. Thus, I give you Sleepthief, a strange Motsie story.

Mm, what the heck

In Creative Writing Friday we were given the prompt of "Inside this pen..." and were told to write a poem. We endeavored to do so and swiftly fell off track after managing a few half-hearted stanzas. To get us to shut up, Mr. McKenzie read five poems that he himself had written when given the prompt in an advanced writer's workshop this past summer. There was about a two-second silence between each piece before we were requesting copies. Upon his completion of the reading, we all immediately declared that there was no way we were reading our poems; they were crap in comparison. Lovely man that he is, Mr. McKenzie nicely let us have the weekend to do another one.

Here's mine, albeit it's a bit (Hint: understatement) more prose than it is poetry. I call it the Poem of Run-On Sentences. :D
