An Appointment

Meg had been waiting for over an hour in the alley behind the bar and she was ready to leave. Her fingers flexed constantly at her side, and she wished for the millionth time that she had a throat to strangle. But then again, if she caused too much of a scene by killing one of the humans inside the bar she'd likely draw the wrong attention. It was so tempting though! She wanted to make someone else suffer at least and not getting to made her only more frustrated.

Chapter Twenty One: Card ReMark

Wonderland City was silent and so still and perversely tense that Pidge was certain that if he shot a gun off, it would echo through every street and alley. Yet it wasn't that unusual for the darker regions of the City to be so still. Only tiny differences made him walk with a bit more caution than normal. The high streets were as crumbling and decayed as usual but the ladders that led from street to street were now covered in vines and ice. It was making his journey to the Ouest Quadrant more and more dangerous as the winds became colder and the streets more treacherous. It was familiar though; the Wonderland City Pidge remembered from his infrequent trips North were of a decaying metropolis. The City had been badly neglected during the previous Heart reign; their focus had been the Casino and the harvesting of captured Oysters.

Just adding my twitter account finally . Horray? I'm @no_inner_block ....because some of my posts are not appropiate for my facebook account which I use for networking (ah...hahaha?)

Preliminary work is done and I quite like it. Still have to come up with a decent cover for Illusions...but I enjoyed doing this one.

So excited about this I couldn't keep it to myself. I've been busy developing Illusions and Destinies so I enlisted some talented help to think up something original for the upcoming WC&G pdf copy

Summary: The ongoing struggle in Wonderland continues, as Alice struggles to pull Hatter back from the brink of destruction and the machinations of Wonderland's oldest powers begins to pull the land apart.

Apparently it is live and learn. Someone in the story nearly died in the last chapters yet I refrained, as my beta insisted that it was a good idea and not to do it just to cause a reaction (and to refocus the story)

So instead, the refocussing begins in the next chapter. Though I may never write a pregnancy again.
