    Frequently Asked Questions

    • Your cc is not appearing on my game. What’s wrong?

In order to have my most recent content you need to have the latest updates on your game. If you have a non-original copy of The Sims it will likely not be updated.

    • Is your cc free? Do I have to sign Patreon in order to have it?
Yes my CC is free. You only need to sign Patreon in order to access content that is under “early access”, but those will become free within 2~3 weeks.

    • I want to download your content but this site is not safe!
You should only download my content from pages that I linked. Here’s a list of safe sites that I currently used or used to upload CC:

    1. Patreon
    2. Simfileshare (@serenity-cc)
    3. Google Drive (where my old alpha content is currently stored).
    4. Thesimsresource (old content)

    About content creation:

1 - What programs do you use?

    Sims4studio to create/clone packages.

    •  TS4CASTools sometimes to fix some meshes. This program is like Sims4studio but has other features as well.

    •  Blender (Steam) for meshing and also 3D texture painting.

    Adobe Photoshop for textures.

2 - Do you have any tips for beginners who know nothing about content creation and where to begin? (specifically for CAS)

I will try to be as brief as possible. I always say and I still believe this: always start with the basics. Don’t start with something difficult (like a sheer wedding dress full of feathers XD) because you will probably get frustrated when you don’t achieve the results you were looking for.

For example: in my case when I started creating, I started with what I consider the most simple level of all: recoloring clothes that already exist. It’s a great way to start knowing basic concepts and shortcuts from photoshop and sims4studio which are programs you’ll use in all of your creations.

You can find very useful tutorials in Sims4Studio site. They have several threads and topics about all kinds of stuff there, and it’s definitely the place where I learned the most when I was a beginner. You can find the tutorials here.

3 - How do you take high quality pictures on your game?

First of all, to take good pictures in game it’s important to have good graphics. If your PC is not strong enough, you can enable high graphic settings only when you take pictures and after you take them you can set them to low again. That’s how I took pictures for many years before I had a good PC.

Play with different angles, sceneries and lighting; I will give you some examples:
When I want to take pictures in a plain background I really like to play with the studio lights that comes with the Moschino/Get Famous EP. I also use this backdrop mod a lot!

When I want to take pictures of my sims in an environment I always look for good spots in the open world. Depending on the lot I also add some lights for a clearer look.

Enchance graphics with GShade/Reshade: Depending on what preset you use, this can slow down your pc’s performance but it’s a great tool to improve game lighting and portrait quality. It’s up to you to choose what preset to use.

I recommend Picture Amoebae’s blog if you are new to Reshade.

    •  You can use SRWE to increase your game resolution and take HQ pictures. I use this most of the times when I want detailed pictures of my sims. I’ll leave a link of a tutorial video here.
