I got my septum pierced today(:

Hi this is my first time here so hey everyone lol(:
Well im david im from California and i have a question im 16 btw(;
I got my septum done today by my boy friend it did not hurt at all im not use to pain but lets just say it did not hurt i was happy..\./
I just need like help i want to know whats gonna happen next how swollen its gonna get when can i have a bigger ring? Things like that!! Can i flip it today before i go home my parents dont know so i need help asap can i get help thanks!! xoxox(:

Got my septum pierced today! 

Still getting used to it. no swelling, pain is now to a minimum, barely there kind of pain... Tender to the touch of course, so it helps keep my hands off of it when not cleaning. 

It was quite painful to get done for me... Though the pain was very short lived. Dude was NOT gentle. lol 

Can't wait for it to heal, i've got a pretty green horse-shoe to put in! 

thinking about taking out the nose ring, don't want my nose too "Busy" looking. Unless it looks okay. IDK.

Septum (Pictures)

I got my septum pierced by a piercer who I've gotten many of my piercings done by due to their excellent service and sterile surroundings. However I've noticed that it seemed to be placed very low. I don't mind to much as I use small diameter jewellery but I'm concerned whether it will reject or if there are any problems with low pierced septums. All your opinion will be really useful. Thanks =)

Not So Sure About My Septum...

I got my septum done Saturday... Today I was looking at pictures of septum and according to the pictures mine is to low... I plan on taking it out and getting it redone... I just wanted others agree that it's to low before I do... Here's a picture of mine...

Hey! I got my septum pierced yesterday... I wanted to get a retainer but the piercer said that it could easily fall out, so instead he put in a 14g curved barebell... When he pierced it was a loud popping noise, and he said he went through a thicker area... I dont know if that means he missed my sweet spot.  I have a lot of swelling, so i really cant tell if he hit it or not.

I have to keep it hidden a majority of the time, so flipping it up is a MUST.  The past couple times I have tried flipping it up, it bleeds a little, is that okay?.  I'm afraid the pressure/force i apply to the piercing is doing harm and will screw up the healing process.

Should I go back to the piercer and ask him to make sure it's pierced through the sweet spot, and to change to a retainer?

PLEASE HELP ME, IM FREAKING OUT!!

Hello~

I pierced my septum around 1996, I took it out around 2001. Just for shits and giggles I tried to stick a regular fishhook style earring through what I assumed what a completely healed septum piercing and to my shock it went through with ease! I had no idea this was possible! I'm tempted to put a proper retainer or ring through it just for nostalgia.
Have you guys ever heard of a septum piercing that never heals? Google is giving me conflicting answers :)

I do not have a septum piercing yet. Although I do have some questions :) , and I have been reading/lurking the forum/community here for the past 45 minutes haha. I am from California, Central California to be exact. I do not know if pricing varies from place to place for sure, I will go ahead and assume so maybe? I also know there are instances where people either A. Pay too little and get crap, that's what you get when you pay too little. B. Can pay too much or even the average amount for said piercing, still get a crooked/messed up piercing(regardless of being overpriced or the "right" price) and get no refund and even have an irritation due to having too big of body jewelry there. C. Well C is just here to be C. :3

I have called places around here and asked pricing, around where I reside, even asked others who have it or who have had a septum piercing in the past. $25 just seems so low priced to me. Is that strange of me to think that? Thank you!

BTW I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year.

help please!

I just got my septum pierced yesterday. And due to it being not work appropriate, and the fact that my parents know nothing of it, I've been keeping it flipped up. But it keeps falling down. Any tricks to keep it up there?

Hi! I'm June. :)  Got my septum pierced on Tuesday.

I think it's healing fine, I only have two problems.

First of all, the curved barbell (a CBR) is WAY too big. I mean, the ball is literally resting on top of my upper lip. Needless to say, it's in the way. I can't eat or drink properly, can't kiss my bf etc. :(

Second of all, it's pierced WAY too far down (I think). According to the pictures I've seen, it's supposed to be pierced above the bridge separating the nostrils (if you know what I mean, haha...). Mine is pierced through that bridge! It really sucks, 'cause I can literally see the piercing itself, entry and exit holes. Makes it easy for me to clean, but that's pretty much the only good thing.

What is up? :(
