For those who needed to hear it today
And another gentle reminder
need to beam this tweet directly into everyone’s minds right now
I noticed this when I was rewatching Death Note
In the beginning of the first episode, Light is shown to have no light in his eyes like they’re soulless.
But when he finds the Death Note, the light is there. (All this is episode one btw)
I’m not much of an analyst, but I feel like this was done on purpose considering image three was a close up of his eyes.
AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER L DIES
THE LIGHT IS GONE. THE GAME IS BORING AGAIN.
trust your gut. the one person who doesn’t feel genuine in your life that you keep going back and forth on trusting doesn’t wish you ill but they are not someone who’s meant to stay in your life. also the undead gods shall rise from the depths soon
feeling like we can’t let go of someone unless they express direct malice is a common form of all-or-nothing thinking that contributes to – what was that last part? Come again?
i get the sentiment behind the whole ‘what if people treated mental illness like physical illness!’ thing but it’s a huge miss for me. disrespectful and misrepresentative of the lived reality of those with physical disabilities.. people with invisible physical disabilities get treated pretty similarly to people w mental illnesses, and people with visible physical disabilities just receive another flavour of garbage treatment, they’re no better off. this widely-held assumption that physical (especially visible) disabilities are generally respected and accommodated is complete fantasy.
“people wouldn’t tell a crutch user to stop using their crutches as a crutch” yes they absolutely would
“people wouldn’t tell a non-ambulatory wheelchair user to just get up and try walking” yes they would
“people wouldn’t tell someone with cancer to just believe that they’ll get better” yes they woulddd
you underestimate ableism!! and you yourself are participating in lateral ableism by being facetious about the reality of physically/visibly disabled people
“isekai’d into my favourite book series” story from the perspective of a very confused author who’s rereading their draft and finding there’s an entire new character they don’t remember writing.
Primadonna worm all i ever wanted was to squirm
if you are any kind of non-binary that isn’t sexlessly gender neutral, you will sooner or later encounter other trans people who accuse you of doing it out of transphobia. sooner and later, really. someone told me recently that genderfluidity isn’t ‘naturally occurring’ like monopolar genders but is instead a reaction to social pressure. stares dead into the camera.
let’s all get poisoned by raw unpasteurised genders. paleo gender movement. I only identify with cultural performances that grow out of the earth.
Some friends and I are having a silly debate about a ridiculous hypothetical: An exact clone of you magically appears. It has all your knowledge, memories, skills, etc up to the point of the clone’s creation. They know they are a clone and you know they are the clone. Nobody else knows which is the clone or original.
Do you try to share lives with the clone? Kill the clone (surprisingly common answer amongst my friends)? Tell the clone to go live another life despite having the memories of friendship and such with everyone you know? Something else?
“what if you regret it” what if I don’t?
I understand your point, however this maybe wasn’t the best post to cross my dash while I’m fighting the temptation to text my ex.
this is about transitioning DO NOT TEXT YOUR EX ITS NOT WORTH IT DONT DO IT
