I'm actually not a big partier, but I had the two ultimate carnival experiences - Venice and Rio. In the later case, I could even participate in a parade, in costume, through the Sambadrome. The full story is here, and an amazing experience it was, too. (Though that costume was heavy like you wouldn't believe.) This icon also has additional sentimental meaning for me, as it was based by iamsab, and she's gone now.




This icon uses a shot from a season 5 episode of Breaking Bad. I want to say it was from Fifty-One which is one of my all time favourite BB episodes, direted by the same Rian Johnson who upset some Star Wars fans (not me) with The Last Jedi and more recently delighted people with Knives Out, and who won an award for the direction of this particular episode, but I'm actually not sure about this. In any event, it sums up Skyler's situation (that's the blonde woman in the mirror), in a way. When Skyler in s3 asks her lawyer whether there's a way to divorce Walt and keep the (illegally gained) money, she's already foreshadowing the decision she'll make in the same season, and which will make her complicit in his crimes.




I had already had an icon showing Peter Capaldi when he became the 12th Doctor, but that icon showed him as John Frobisher in Torchwood: Children of Earth. After s8 opened with Deep Breath, typical post regeneration episode introducing a new Doctor, I knew I wanted an icon of Capaldi as the Doctor, and ended up choosing one in which he's busy scribbling equations on the floor, because I have soft spot for the Doctor doing science.
