An update
Hey all.
I get that this is my writing journal and all, so posting to it is kinda pointless, but I thought I would let you all know that yes, I am alive. Thankfully I managed to miss the most of the floodwater, so that is all good and lucky as all hell. Just sucks cause I am in a hot zone, so where all the waters are receding, it is leaving behind all this mud which, of course, dries and becomes dust. It is all in the air, and with so much of our communities on the river, it means that fresh fruit and vegies and milk and the like are few and far between.
It is kinda odd, driving down the road looks like we’ve been through war. And then there is that childish part of me who wants to dress up and crawl around and be all zombie hunting commando in the dirty, crumbling suburban wasteland that Brisbane has become.
Fuck life; I wanna go back to Japan!
Unfortunately, just before I went away, my laptop started playing up big time. I didn’t really have the energy or time to get it seen to and now that I am home I am… well, just kinda over it. Most times it won’t start and then the times it does, it loads up and then just shuts down.
Why does this concern you? Well, all my bloody writing is on it. Fuck my life. Seriously.
I have most of Half Past Four uploaded online, just minus about 20 pages or so, so that is alright. But the zombie fic, Nom Nom, Bang Bang (my personal fucking favourite) is trapped on that computer. Ergh!
Rest assured that I am going to get it fixed and am hoping to all hell that they can pull files from it. But, these things take time, so sadly, I am going to have to say not to expect many updates from me for awhile. Especially between that, work starting up again tomorrow, going to Sydney and enrolling in language lessons.
Fuck my busy life.
