In which Secret rambles at length about things taking up space in her head
It is silly season! That time just before the holidays where you don't really want to do anything, you're just finishing off bits and pieces but your hearts not in it and you can't start anything new because you wont be able to finish it.
So I seem to be posting far more than often and writing an average of 3000-4000 words a day. Ah but it would last but I fear in September I shall once again be snowed under a mountain of metaphorical paperwork.

chuckney's post I am going to attempt to sort out the different Star Trek XI AU's in my head.
The Prime Directive Verse
The universe where they've formed a rock band and are off boldly rocking where no-one's rocked before.
Everyone's pretty much the same as they are in XI canon. Except they're in a Rock Band. IN SPACE!
Sulu has a bit of a thing for Chekov who is blissfully oblivious and Kirk may have a bit of a thing for Spock. Sulu and Chekov do have ties to the mafia here but this is unwanted, accidental and in Sulu's case unknown.
Captain Pike is their manager here and acts as a sort of Father figure for Kirk.
The stories set in this verse are callted the Misadventures of the Prime Directive and I will probably refer to them as Misadventures Proper.
The Chibi!Spock Universe
An offshoot from The Prime Directive Universe, this is not exactly Misadventures Canon.
It may be. I don't know yet. Perhaps a few years down the line the events of the Chibi!Spock Universe will come to pass for the Prime Directive Crew but I don't want to set anything in stone just yet. Think of it as an AU of an AU.
This universe nominally revolves around Spock and his relationship with his and Uhura's son Jarock (or Chibi!Spock) and the effect this has on everyone else. It's more a Spock character study than anything. Kirk is quietly and desperately in love with Spock in this one.
The Syndicate Universe
Syndicate is a Star Trek XI AU that has nothing to do with The Prime Directive. It involves a Pavel Andreievich who has been born into the Russian Mafia and has been heavily involved since the age of 10 (He's good with vectors). Hikaru Sulu is a Yakuza assasin and they both join Starfleet for various reasons. He has a somewhat troubled past and has issues with both parents.
The rest of the crew is pretty much the same as they are in the movie and The plot of Syndicate will focus on some background stuff, link upto to movie canon and then continue on after it.
Pavel used to be a semi-pro ballet dancer until he joined Starfleet and Hikaru has some mad skillz with shuriken, although his weapon of choice is still his Katana. For those who are interested Pavel favours a pair of (old-fashioned - well, for them) MP-443 Grach pistols, although he'll use pretty much any gun.
The COMRADE CHEKOV Universe
I would like to think of a catchy name for this. Underverse? (like Underworld but on a larger scale) Under-galactic? Outer-Reaches? Either way, everyone has gone wrong in this one.
This is another 'Mafia' verse but has nothing to do with any of the other Universes mentioned above.
Everyone's either a corrupt official or an underworld mob boss or an assasin. This universe mainly focuses on Comrade Chekov of the largest Russian Organizatsiya this side of Federation Occupied Space ad Hikaru-Sama of the Kobayashi Yakuza Clan. (C WUT I DID THAR?) and their twisted games of secks, death and power.
I'm not sure why they have clones, other than the obvious reasons of 'spare parts' but they do.
I'll add more as I think of it. But this is enough for now. If you have any questions about any universe that you think only I can answer (and in case of the Chibi!Spock and Syndicate Universes this is probably the case) here is the place to ask it.
For those of you who wish I would stop rambling about Sydicate and Just write Sydicate I shall start Part 4 (and possibly 5) tonight.

Whenever I write a fic for Roses_of_athena for the 'COMRADE CHEKOV' verse it is from Hikaru-Sama's point of view. Whenever I write one for Chuckney it is from Comrade Chekov's.
This is interesting. So I am going to invite people (including you two ladies because I luffs you) to leave a prompt for that universe and I shall have a think and see who's POV I would write it from. This is of course on the understanding that I am not necessarily going to write the promt now but I may do it later. Later could be anywhere from 'oh-fuck-this-shit-this-tale-must-be-tol
