My dog is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow to get a tumor removed from her leg.
Poor girl can't catch a break as it turns out she's managed to pick up an ear infection now too.
It's going to be an event keeping her away from food tonight considering how spoiled she is -_- really though, I just hope that everything goes well so I can stop worrying about this.
Well I'm jobless again. I got let go on account of low volumes now that peak is ending. I didn't think I had to worry about this I was hired on well before peak and didn't think I'd be lumped into the category of 'holiday help' I knew there was a possibility I wouldn't get hired on permanently but I thought I'd at least get to that 1200 hours that they told me my assignment would be. Now there is a possibility I'll get hired again at a later time when volumes go back up but I have no way of knowing how long that would take plus I wouldn't be allowed to go back to the same warehouse so I'd have to start all over from scratch to establish myself as a hard worker.
I have to find some source of income fast. I just leased a car and payments start up later in January
My sister showed me this video and I fell in love with it ;A; wonderful singing and animation. and omg its been a while since I angsted over a drawn music video. I think not since I saw the vocaloid Daughter of Evil series.
So I recently found these videos and have to say I'm hooked, the animation is some of the best I've seen in gmod and it progresses into a decent mix of action, horror, and a little humor. Oh Crazy!Coach you both frighten and fascinate me.
As far as my car goes, it's not looking good. It's crazy because I'm pretty sure the engine runs technically, but the radiator is shot and it's got a good deal of body damage. for what the place we had it at was wanting to charge it wouldn't be worth doing the repairs, so once again I might be looking into a new car...but then again mom keeps wanting me to look up pricing on car parts so she might want to attempt to have it repaired after all. It's all kinda up in the air right now.
I hate when it seems like things are going okay and then life decides to kick you down a notch.
As I was driving to work on Thursday morning I was still tired and a little out of it and as a result I didn't react in time to a car stopped ahead of me at a stop light and rear-ended them. Thankfully no one was hurt but the front end of my car got pretty smashed up and has to be repaired. It's more than a little depressing because we just got done paying a load to have the engine replaced on it a few months ago and now here are more problems to deal with and a lot of the money I've been saving up from work will be going towards car repairs and rental fees.
There is a part of me that wonders if I should attempt to start doing drawing commissions to get a little extra cash but then I get all self conscious and think who would want to pay money for my shit art? And also it seems to take me so long to get anything finished lately that I wonder if I'd even be able to keep up with doing stuff for people without making them wait unfairly long.
I dislike daylight saving time, I miss the old days when Indiana just didn't participate in it. As it is now with the ten hour shifts I'm working it's dark outside when I go in to work and when I get out the sun is already setting. So I'm missing out on that 'daylight' we are supposedly saving and it just ends up feeling like I've worked my day away.
Also, I was informed that mandatory overtime is starting up this week to get us ready for the holiday peak and while the extra money will be nice, I'll be losing one of my off days.
I have the feeling the coming months are going to be draining.
I wasn't really able to plan out a costume this year so I just tossed some things I had together and tried to make myself up all creepy before I went to my Aunt's. Sadly I wasn't able to find my camera before leaving so these are some photos I took after I got back home and the make up has faded a bit. I'm hoping my Aunt will send me some of the pictures she took so I can show those too.
Okay so I've been watching the new season of The Walking Dead together with one of my friends and recently I made the observation to her on how bony and thin the women characters were and how it was a nice touch to bring home the fact that food was sparce and they were slowly starving. But then I realized it was only the women that had this wasting appearance. ( Collapse )
Well I finally have internet access at my home now and I am loving every minute of it. No longer will I have to lurk in the parking lot of the library or rely on going to a friend's house to play games online.
I went out with my sister and friend the other day so see the Lion King during it's short re-release into theater. I didn't really care about the 3-D it didn't really add that much for me, I just loved getting to see the movie on the big screen again. (and I totally teared up during the scene where Simba was try to get his dead father to 'wake up') Lion King is one of my favorites of the Disney animations and seeing it again made me all kinds of nostalgic so of course when I got home I proceeded to look up a bunch of shows and movies on netflix that I could remember enjoying as a kid haha and of course many of them were either available on dvd only or not on there at all (guess I have obscure tastes in cartoons ^_^;) But they did at least have Fraggle Rock and the original Power Rangers and that made me all kinds of happy.
