It was a few months ago that a seemingly inconsequential lawsuit against Febris Pharmaceuticals was filed by law firm Na'manra Qynn Hy'gyns. Last year, Febris Pharmaceuticals allegedly drastically raised prices of products destined to Hospital usage. Furthermore, a local pharmacist accused the company of mislabelling addictive drugs “Clients keep ordering it, and the best I can do is pretending shipments are getting delayed. I’m afraid they might catch on and buy it straight from the source.” she comments. With time many more complaints have been filed against Febris’ market and consumer practices. With these combined charges the lawsuit gradually gained traction, now escalating into full-on class-action.

This far, the war has been fought through many minor courts across Esterberg, with the citizens pressing charges now being evenly spread across our city's populace. Our sources report of numerous attempts to offer settlements out of court, alongside a largely successful endeavor to suppress minor news publications. If the entirety of Esterberg's journalistic body is now so confident as to decry these events, it is due to the case's most recent developments. After months of minor court appointments, Na'manra Qynn Hy'gyns was able to appeal to the Supreme Summer Court and organize the bulk of its efforts in a single class-action.

Despite Esterberg's highest institution of justice stepping in, representatives from Febris Pharma remain confident. "We've been able to navigate these allegations while they were at their most disorganized state, and we trust the hearing at the Supreme Court will be no different, if not easier." says Mattia Rododendra, Head of Febris's Local Legal Department. "We've brought this city nothing but benefits since establishing this branch and many judges were able to recognize it. If anything, this fabricated scandal is bound to have negative effects on none other than Esterberg's denizens." added Maria Narlocchi, Febris Esterberg Overseeing Manager, when interviewed.

The first court hearing of this new phase of the lawsuit will be held at 13:00 on August the 10th. As is customary with Supreme Summer Court procedures, citizens are allowed and encouraged to assist the hearing. Our respected colleague Dou'lan will be present on the scene to report any relevant event.

It's with general shock by the audience and general indifference by the judge that the scheduled court hearing is halted. The incident happened just as the hearing properly began. Judge Edrisglair made their entrance and read the charges to all those presents. As is mandatory, both the prosecution and the defense parties were notified that all pronounced statements would be subject to the court's Veracity Geas, to which all those present agreed.

Maria Narlocchi was called to the stand shortly after Na'manra Qynn Hy'gyns' representative lawyer laid out the persecutors' case. Narlocchi didn't oppose testifying but started showing uncontrolled sweating as she was presenting herself. These early signs of disease were followed by a sudden fainting coupled with convulsions and vomiting. Medics present on the scene were able to provide first aid and save Narlocchi from chocking. The court was adjourned and the hearing postponed as Narlocchi was transferred to intensive care.

Although a definitive diagnosis was not feasible paramedics advanced the hypothesis of Narlocchi suffering from a form of Chuchulian Syndrome "We've seen this before. A geas or two going haywire and you hit the floor". Febris Pharmaceuticals reserved the right to personally treat its high-standing employees and retrieve Narlocchi from Esterberg's Public Hospital to transfer her to its own private structure. Febris Pharmaceuticals refused to comment for the time being.

With great dismay from those who seek justice, the Supreme Summer Court hasn't yet confirmed a date for the second hearing of Febris Pharma's case. This is very much unlike the Court's modus operandi, and it wouldn't delay its workings for this long without an external cause. A new emergency, like the one suffered by Narlocchi, has interrupted yet another court case. The affected is our court reporter Ur'sna Dou'lan who was attending an ordinary civil lawsuit before falling on the ground. Dou'lan was rushed to Esterberg's City Hospital where medics struggled to stabilize them.

After long, tense hours, an équipe of Febris Pharmaceuticals medics arrived on the scene to assist hospital staff. After initial doubt, the Febris operatives were let into ICU to assess the situation. Febris staff confirmed Dou'lan's condition to be the same suffered by Narlocchi, Cuchulain Syndrome. Dou'lan symptoms were later treated by official hospital personnel, stabilizing them. In light of this incident, Febris spokespersons displayed reluctance in resuming court proceedings, asking for judgement to be delayed.

Most important of all, Esterberg Weekly and its family would like to thank the workers of our civic hospital and wish our colleague Dou'lan a steady recovery.

It was just yesterday that Maria Narlocchi, charged with overseeing the Esterberg division of Febris Pharmaceuticals, experienced a sudden medical emergency and caused the court to be adjourned indefinitely. Today, in the late hours of the afternoon that representatives of her own company reported to authorities an instance of breaking and entering inside Narlocchi's Ruling District habitation. "The living space has been vandalized in its entirety. Our leading theory has it this was a mere act of retaliation, but we're not excluding a possible theft." explained the commissioner to all reporters on the scene.

Febris representatives were present as well but decided to answer journalists from only a few select news outlets. I, representing Esterberg Weekly, was among these few and can thus report the following: "We've grown accustomed to such violence. They made a deliberate decision to strike us when most vulnerable". It's the Bone Batallion crime syndicate that Febris is pointing the finger at. "Our deliveries have suffered from their attacks since first establishing ourselves. Them aiming at our very houses was a question of time." they clarified.

The cases now amount to twelve and counting. The unexpected Chuchulian Syndrome manifestation that took everyone by shock has become more and more frequent. The list of victims covers a wide range of different subjects, but all episodes share a single factor, the location. All victims started suffering symptoms when present at a Supreme Summer Court hearing, regardless of the lawsuit attended. Public opinion has already cited the Court's binding geas as a possible source for this phenomenon.

With trust in the methods of their court declining, Judge Edrisglair comments: "In truth, the Court's Veridity Geas can in no way be a source of Chuchulian Syndrome. The workings of the geas only emboldens truth to the beholder's eye without forcing those affected to any action." When asked whether this answer implies the geas are affected by bias, the Judge added: "The geas consists of a Truth Glamour, which has seen a millenia-long use in eras where it and other similar practices were much more widespread and varied. No record of the geas in question malfunctioning or otherwise causing harm exists to our knowledge. Moreover, instances of binding geas in general accidentally or deliberately hurting the binded became frequent only after the establishment of the Veil and their implementation in corporate structures."

Among those defending the legitimacy of the Supreme Summer Court's doings, sit the lawyers of Na'manra Qynn Hy'gyns, who have benefited from it countless times in the years. Of note, is that the founding member Chl'oran Qynn xerself, is listed among the affected by the syndrome. Qynn collapsed shortly after discussing the addition of new charges against Febris Pharmaceuticals with Judge Edrisglair. Despite a long recovery aided by Febris patented treatments, xe has returned to protest against the patenting of the same methods that saved xers and many others' lives.

It was yesterday that the dead body of notorious Febris Pharmaceuticals manager Maria Narlocchi, was found in an abandoned warehouse in the outskirts of town. The finding is to be attributed to us reporters of Esterberg Weekly, who were led to the far-off location by an anonymous e-mail claiming to be from a “whistleblower of sorts”. It’s safe to say that no individual was present at the scene, except for the lifeless body a few levels below.

The time of death was estimated to be around 4:00 AM of the same day. The cause, as readers might expect, is yet another case of Chuchulian Syndrome. The first to go tragically untreated. If the location of the corpse comes as confusing, perplexity is to only grow when examining the circumstances of the passing. The underground floor Narlocchi was discovered in had been converted into a rudimental living space. Food packaging littered the floor while a mattress equipped with a sleeping bag was laid in the corner. A laptop was found hiding beneath said mattress, but it was far too damaged to yield any clues on this situation.

When informed, Febris Pharmaceuticals admitted to having lost contact with Narlocchi shortly after her initial recovery: “The reason Narlocchi’s disappearance wasn't made known is this city's growing untrust towards our company. Fingers would've been pointed at us, accusing us of a coverup. Her prolonged absence didn’t go unnoticed, but we couldn’t imagine her seclusion had brought her in such a pitiful condition.” Still, Febris representatives were unable to shade any light on the reason of Narlocchi’s departure. From what she was hiding, if she was hiding, remains a mystery.

We, the colleagues that have encouraged and assisted their growth as a journalist, announce the disappearance of Ur'sna Dou'lan. We are aware that their writing for our newspaper has been a great source of controversy in the last month. Many accused Esterberg Weekly of developing a Febris-leaning bias while following a direction more akin to an inflammatory tabloid rather than a legitimate news outlet. The weight of these claims was felt through various canceled subscriptions, while terminating Dou'lan employment was discussed in numerous occasions.

Esterberg Weekly as a whole apologizes for its recent lack of journalistic rigor. As written in the resignation email our editorial team received last night from Dou'lan, they were of the same opinion. In their last known message, Dou'lan apologized for various oversights. "I have many things to ask forgiveness for. I pushed meritless allegations, I purposefully misrepresented public sentiment, and my reportage of Narlocchi's death has been lackluster at best. Most of all, I apologize for allowing myself to let them do this." From this point on, the e-mail remains cryptic. "Last but not least, I apologize for forgetting my phone in my former office. I sincerely hope that you and my family at Esterberg Weekly will take the chance to clean the name I've stained."

If the contents of this minor workplace dispute are being shared publicly, it's not for the purpose of libel. This is a call for anyone who may hold information to locate Dou'lan and ascertain their wellbeing. We've contacted friends and relatives, all of which state to have lost track of them, while attempts at answering the e-mail have been ignored. It's with immense devastation that we announce the search for Ur'sna Dou'lan has met a tragic end. Their dead body was located this morning in the basement of a Sewer District refinery. The death was dated back to the night of the day prior. The coroner's office theorizes the death to have resulted from an untreated Chuchulian Syndrome crisis. No evidence of the body being interfered with was found. The entrance to the room Dou'lan died in was locked from the inside with a steel pipe.

Febris Pharmaceuticals is a topic that hasn’t been brought up recently. Most news outlets like us have veered away from the subject, with speculations regarding a possible link between the Chuchulian Syndrome epidemic and the Supreme Summer Court capturing public attention. It was while investigating a matter concerning this scandal, the death of our former colleague Ur’sna Dou’lan that a hidden thread was uncovered. A thread tying it all back to the culprit who has been laughing down at us all along, Febris Pharmaceuticals.

As these pages previously reported, Dou’lan, before disappearing made a point to bring attention to them forgetting on the workplace. The phone was unlocked and new evidence was brought to light. Screenshots of an anonymous chat were found in the phone’s camera reel. Alongside these, photographs of an open laptop, thought to have been shot at scene of Narlocchi’s death, were uncovered.

It was less than a month ago that Febris Pharmaceuticals appeared as an unswerving giant. Now the leaking of documents from last week has snowballed into an avalanche that has officially brought their Esterberg division to its knees. Charges of terrorism, homicide and obstruction of the law have been added to the already gargantuan pile of accusations. As we’re reaching the beginnings of Fall, Judge Edrisglair was able to negotiate with Judge Feallen of the Autumn Court to freeze Febris Pharmaceuticals’ local financial assets, making them property of the Winter Court.

Febris executives resisted all attempts to be brought to court while a handful of whistleblowers came forward only to fall victim of the now famous Mutusol virus. Fortunately, medical aid was successfully administered on each occasion, allowing Esterberg ICSUT researchers to isolate and study the biological weapon. The finishing blow came in the form of a quickly leaked memo from Febris Pharma’s own founder announcing the disenfranchisement as a means to cut losses.

The sinking of the ship was made official this morning, when the Supreme Summer Court deemed the existence of Febris Pharmaceuticals and its holdings within the city “fundamentally untrue”, permanently exiling them. Na'manra Qynn Hy'gyns is currently in the process of planning the relocation of seized funds to all offended parties. Esterberg Weekly confirms to be on the list of people and institutions entitled to reparations but doesn’t intend to profit from these grim circumstances. The ongoing proposal of the editing team is to allocate whatever sum of money will be received for the establishment of a memorial.
