Six years ago today, the SCP Wiki first put up the Pride logo in solidarity with all of its many LGBTQIA+ authors, artists, readers, and fans. There was significant backlash, which we disagreed with, but we have stuck with flying the Pride colors since 2020 and are proud to continue to do so. We want to foster a community where our users are proud to be who they are, and safe from judgement of their gender/romantic identity. We want everyone to feel welcome in SCP.
Over the years, many LGBTQIA+ characters such as Robin Thorne, Faeowynn Wilson, Lillian Lillihammer, Jude "bluntfiend" Kriyot, and many more have become staples of the SCP fandom; be it writing, art, or discussion. And the best part is, there are many more joining the ranks every day! So what is it that we are getting at here? Well, the answer is simple.
We want to celebrate all our LGBTQIA+ writers, artists, and community members!
Be it with writing or art, all site members are encouraged to participate in PRIDEFEST. Whether you want to write about/illustrate an existing character or create your own new one, you are welcome to do whatever you want! Check out the rules below!
