Raising the dead (account) for a moment
Long ago, someone here at LiveJournal -- maybe a member of
the_zero community, maybe not -- told me that he (or she, but I really think it was a he) had used one or more of Andrew Vachss' novels as assigned readings in a college course. The purpose was to present to the students an example of an internally consistent ethical framework that arose without any religious context surrounding it.
