Superman faces off against the Kryptonite Man with his new arsenal of kryptonite, courtesy, of his mortal enemy, Lex Luthor.

Superman uses the rainbow kryptonite to say his name backwards. So to summon his imaginary imp from the 5th dimension. The imp used storytelling continuity to destroy kryptonite man.

Previously, Lois broke up with Superman. Because she is getting older and wants a family. And Superman stays the same. Lois wants somebody to grow with in age and in meaning

I like how Lois is like. I not raising baby Superman by myself. She has the whole justice league help raise baby Superman.

You joke about this miniseries being an All-Star Superman riff, and then this " death and rebirth " ending happens.

That shot of Lois in panel 6 of the next to last scan is truly horrifying.

Also, Lois taking care of Baby Superman until he ages is... well, admittedly this is definitely a Silver Age scenario which happened at some point, but also kinda dodgy if he's not returned to normal age relatively soon.

Because "I raised you until you became a legal adult and now we can date" would be big yikes.

Ever feel like you've suddenly learned more about the authors' fetishes than you're comfortable knowing?

I'm not saying this is what W. Maxwell Prince really wants for himself, I know better to make that assumption. (There are stories I've written by which I'd rather not be judged.) But man, it is hard to resist that impression when this is held up as the series' happy ending.

I don't think the "now we can date" moment ever comes in a scenario where Lois will be 60 before Clark is of legal age. This feels more like Lois exchanging one role in his life for another. But of course, she's still going to remember what his kiss felt like and...

As a premise for the kind of head-trippy horror that Prince and Morazzo deliver in Ice Cream Man (or delivered? I haven't seen a new one in a while), the idea of "woman breaks up with her boyfriend for theoretical family, ends up raising him from infancy along with his and her friends" could be an interesting take. But as an unironic now-everything-is-okay capper to a story about the prototypical superhero? FRIGGIN' WEIRD, MAN.

It is the most genuinely novel Superman story ending this year, at least (with Last Days of Lex Luthor coming in a distant second.)

I'm guessing he's actually aging rapidly. It's only been a few weeks since his age reversal and he's already talking (sort of). Should be an adult again in no time.

The art is horrendous. Lois's face is nightmare fuel in some panels.

No kidding! Lois looks terrible. 😳

OTOH, Clark is always a cute baby! 😋

Okay, who got him the Batman doll, lol? 😝

Oh, that's not a doll, that's Batman's own weird transformation into a puppet! XD

Or it might be that Clark's mind wasn't de-aged and he's stuck in a body that doesn't really obey him.

I thought some of the art in this mini was good. The Fifth Dimension stuff, not meth addiction Lois.

wow that art is terrible. The idea of a kid's virus messing up an adult worse is something that could make sense, since we actually have that to a degree. Like Mumps, where to quote Max Klinger "if you get it as a kid, you don't get it as an adult, but if you get it as an adult, you don't get kids"
