Date: 2025-11-04 08:11 pm (UTC)This is actually solid characterization for Kylo, whose whole deal is that he makes himself and everyone else miserable because he believes he Can't Have Nice Things, and is trying to follow some edgelord path he's not very good at and doesn't really enjoy anyway because he thinks that's what Cool Sith Lords do.
I gotta admit that I kinda like the glimpse of roguish, swaggering Ben Solo we get at the end of TROS. But good golly, Kylo Ren is -- like Darth Vader and, to a mercifully lesser extent, early Like Skywalker -- such a great big pathetic loser.

As for why he had his men go after her he did it to prove a point about why chooses to stay in a ‘cage’.
