"Next week – Rise of the Powers of X #3, where everyone sits down, talks it out, and comes to a reasonable compromise, meaning the rest of the event is just everyone eating scones."
-- Kieron Gillen
Xavier has gone back in time to kill Moira before her power manifests in order to prevent Krakoa and thus the rise of the Dominion Enigma.

Xavier is interrupted by Rasputin IV and then by Rachel Summers, who telepathically projects something in his mind, a message from her team about Krakoa and the dream and why he shouldn't wipe it away.

Not going to lie, I do like the the "Isn't that petrifying?" line. It's not a justification, it's a statement of the situation as he see's it.

Worst case scenario, he's kicking the problem along to the next loop and they seem pretty sure this is her last loop. Well, I guess actual worst case is another Onslaught but Chuck isn't great about learning from mistakes)
But I guess this is important and he wanted to play to his strengths.

Date: 2024-03-28 02:32 pm (UTC)Think about it.
She grew up in a dystopian future, lived out her life in another, where she founded a pseudo-religious resistance, and she's not always got the best decision making skills ("The Beyonder can't destroy the universe if I destroy it FIRST!").
Given the sheer metric crap ton of crap that has been dumped on her time and again, her snapping and finally deciding to go extreme to prevent Nimrods coming around wouldn't be the biggest stretch.
Lots of characters have become villains for less and worse reasons.
... I mean, obviously I'd still be complaining about that (because, as already said, Ray gets enough dumped on her as is). But it'd still make more sense that this.
