StarBase Leviathan is an email-based role-playing game, set in the Star Trek universe. Players control their characters using a script format, which includes manipulating many other characters, including those of other people within the group. The final result is a storyline that twists and turns like a Monte Carlo mountain track.

We were formed in late 2000. In this time we have seen over 30 members come and go. Missions have included testing new weapons in the Vellian system, transporting the Fleet Admiral to Antica for peace talks, investigating anomalies in the Klingon and Romulan areas, repelling a Borg invasion, going back in time to save the Galaxy and trying to save the Galaxy in the Mirror Universe.

The current active simming crew is based on the USS Falchion, which replaced the USS Rutland in realtime 2004. It is a small warship with a crew complement of 100. We are always looking for more people to join up.

For people who have not simmed in the past, there is no problem in joing straight up. There is no need for prior knowledge of PBEM RPGs, RPGs in general, Star Trek on indeed, anything else. We take you as you come, and expect nothing else other than participation!

Your character can be of any race found within the Star Trek universe, or even one of your own making. For example, we have a Timelord (BBC's Dr. Who) and a race based far too heavily on Star Wars. However, we will not allow actual characters to be used from any Star Trek (or other) series, as we are in a completely different time scale (plus these characters are under copyright protection). You will be assigned a position somewhere on the Falchion, but you have some choice in the matter. Positions include science, engineering, helm, medical and counselling. Androids, and other part-robotic life and holograms are also welcome.

We are not so keen on "Q-like" beings, though. They annoy us with their holier-than-thou immortal attitude. Plus they tend to muck up the storyline...

We like to think of ourselves as a simming group that doesn't take itself too seriously. There is plenty of room for humour within the storyline. However, we have been known to have some very dark plots, full of intrigue and intergalactic conspiracy. The Tal Shiar (aka Romulan FBI) have made several appearances.

To join, email keletkezes at the email address given above (which is the same as the one on her LJ).
