Dear, Watchers!

I am updating with a second batch for this month's 20inspirations challenge. I knew I wanted to get a second bacth done, as I finished the first one really fast! I iconned the same fandoms this time around: Charmed, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Leverage, Lost, Misfits, Sherlock BBC, adding a couple more: Dollhouse, Downton Abbey and Merlin. I tried to present different colourings for each icon, but sometimes a certain style like grunge effects with muted/sepia colours just made me want to use them all over again. I tried to use different sepias though, sometimes lighter, sometimes darker and also experimented with textures. I think I am content with this batch, even if there is a lot of improvements to be done, but there always is! Well, I think that is all the pre-ramble I have. Oh, one more thing: this time I added explanations, because I had the time and the patience. I hope you will enjoy reading them and like some of the icons! I appreciate your feedback and support. ♥

Dear, Watchers!

So, I am posting another small, but crazy icon batch for 20inspirations Round 13! This needs a little bit of explaining beforehand:

Once upon a time like 3 days ago? wildpages posted at a challenge community, and I complimented her icons as usual and we got into a conversation about Rory, we both love the boy to bits and pieces, and among the lines of some fangirling I mentioned that maybe one day I will have him as a claim for 20inspirations, and she got excited and replied with: "HOW ABOUT THIS WEEK ONE DAY?", so from that crazy ideas rolled and I suggested that maybe we should make it interesting and both make Rory icons, and we somehow ended up randomizing 20inspirations rounds, and Fate decided we should try to give Complexity a go, in 2 freaking days, but we are both sort of on the nuts side, so we took on this challenge and made it happen. Also the extension didn't hurt either. :p She chose 10 caps, I chose 10 caps and we got to working. We both also used additional other caps for blending purposes and did things on our own unique ways. I don't even have to mention her talent surpasses mine, and I adore her icons. ♥

Anyways, I tried to experiment with different approaches of blending, colouring, composition, texture use and even added some text on one icon or so. I tried some new things as well and overall I think I am content. Except when I got to see Garance's icons and my jaw dropped. Well, enough crazy ramble, and on to the icons:

Dear Watchers,

I am updating with a set of icon textures and 12 icons tonight. I have created the textures today, being inspired by Round 11 at 20inspirations. This month's challenge, as usual, is brilliant and utterly amazing, and as there were no textures as inspirations this time around, just songs, I thought I challenge myself (and you guys, if you would like to join me with using these in the round), to use at least one of them on each icon, noticable or not. I will try that and you are welcome too, if you want to! Also, the set is dedicated to vetica for the wonderful moderating of the community he is doing. :)

Below are the icons I mentioned above. Most of them are more simple and softer style wise, and I made a couple of stock icons. Not quite my old style, but that is alright..., I still tried to do something "magical" on #12, and I kind of like the result. #2 is for those of you who totally ship Amy and Vincent, #3 dedicated to princessbloomy, and #11 is dedicated to likealight and wildpages for obvious corny reasons. I also tried to icon New Girl, I am not sure what I think of the icon though. Anyhow, your feedback is most welcome!

Hey!

So, to my surprise I was accepted to 20inspirations last months, and so I signed up for Round 10 - Epitome. The challenge was to create 20 icons from whatever fandom/character/ships that we like depicting an epitome moment of a character or simply any epitome. I was really excited, because it is a genius idea, this challenge, but sort of scared as well, as I have never done something this challenging before, graphic wise. I have taken part in 20in20 communities, but this is different, in a good way. Anyhow, I think I have typed way more than enough below, you will see, so I am not going to say much more. I have experimented with texture use and colouring, even text, so I hope you will end up enjoying some of these. Feedback, as usual is highly appreciated!

Hey!

So, I signed up for Round 3 at got20in20 and I am updating with my completely last-minuteish entries. I wasn't quite sure that I would be able to complete this challenge, because inspiration sneaked off somewhere, but after getting a reminder message last night, I thought I will try to sneak inspiration back to me and started to work on the icons and today I finished them. I have to say I had a very hard time with a couple of themes, for example "provided texture" and "internet slang". The texture gave me a headache as I usually only use my own resources, with some other texture maker's stuff, whose work compliments my style, but I think the result turned out decentish. As for internet slang... I don't like any kind of slangs, at all, so I had a horrible time making that icon, but I made it anyway. One more note, for the "iron throne" theme, I didn't choose anyone to "rule", and went with an empthy iron throne, because for now, that is what I think it should be. I also experimented with colour, texture use and composition a bit. Hopefully you will enjoy some of the icons! I appreciate your feedback! Thank you in advance.
