Koyama - tu hablas japonés?

MasterPost ('cause all the cool kids are doin' it.)

Hi! I mostly post about my life and flaily JE fangirl stuff. NewS is my favorite band and I have serious revolving biases toward everyone though Koyama is my favorite. I also like KAT-TUN, K8 and Kis-my-ft2 but you won't see too much of them here. Um. I guess that's all I have to say.

As of now, all of my fics will be and are now posted at my fic comm, electrictoad. Please feel free to watch for what fics I do manage to post, heh.

Lastly, this journal is now pretty much

:)

Friends Cut

I've just done a rather large friends cut, not out of any sort of animosity, but just because I feel we've fallen out of friendship, or never really ended up connecting, or it seems you've disappeared from livejournal. I think you're all wonderful people, and I am still open to rekindling friendship if you feel I've cut you in error.

Help Japan

Hey all. Since I know you don't all watch my writing comm, I'll say it here as well. help_japan has opened their auctions, so go check it out. I'm offering fanfic here and there's all sorts of awesome all up in there. I'm... looking too. :) Apparently Japan has now officially asked for aid from America, especially in regards to the nuclear reactor situation, and if they're asking for help, they must really need it. Let's all do what we can.
Koyama - Sleepy

-yawn-

I'm tired. It's too late to do anything like watch a movie, and too early to go to bed, so you get to read about my life! Which is so exciting, let me tell you. Oh wait... I am. XD

 • Have been a beta fiend. It's kind of awesome, really.

 • Have not felt like writing anything. Well, that's untrue. I've felt like writing it, but when it came down to actually trying to think coherently enough to tell a story, my brain has just sort of shrugged and moved on without me. I still don't know where it went.

 • Have been doing some car-shopping. Will be hopefully seeing some this weekend. *crosses fingers* I should probably go to the bank and find out just how much money I have before I do this, lol. I can't for the life of me get my stupid online account to log in, so I really have no idea. I just know it's more than I'm spending.

 • Have been having a good time at work. My job isn't "fun" or "glamorous" but it's steady and I get to interact with people a lot. Most of them are nice, some of them are confused, and a few of them are asshats, but a lot of them are fun. And it's pretty awesome when they stop by just to say hi or make sure they call my name and wave when they pass. It's an amazing feeling, when someone sees you and smiles. You know you're doing something right that when they see you they feel happy enough to smile. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

 • Have been listening to a few songs/watching a few videos on repeat. Songs: Kuroki Meisa's "LOL", Jin's "Eternal", Katy Perry's "E.T.". Videos: Namie and Pi's "Unusual", Pi's "Party Don't Stop" on MNet, Koyama's "Uri Sarang", Mike Posner's "Bow chicka wow wow". I know. I'm awesome and not shallow at all... >.>

 • Am going to FINALLY go to Old Town this weekend for the classic car show! Oh man. ohmanohmanohman. So stoked. I'm probably going to have goosebumps all night from all the sexy, sexy cars. I'm going with a coworker and am going to make us a small dinner to eat there since she's coming right from work and we're both pretty poor. :D I love hanging out with her -- we have so much in common and when we're working together (which is only about once a week since she, like almost all of the receptionists [but not me] rotates between the four properties) we pretty much just talk nonstop lol.

 • Have not been doing pretty much anything I'm meant to be doing like studying or working out or cooking more regularly. I did make pari-pari style chicken (also from Harumi's Japanese Home-Cooking) but, while it was rather delicious, I wasn't totally impressed with my not-so-crispy skin and it required much too much work (but then I don't debone chicken enough to have it down to any sort of science.) I HATE deboning chicken, even though thighs are probably the easiest. But in case anyone wanted to know, minced garlic to taste, equal parts soy sauce and white wine, half the amount of sesame oil, and black pepper also to taste make a delicious marinade. :) Surprise... Basically you have boneless chicken thighs with the skin left on (score skin), marinade for 15 min, bake skin-side up at 425° for 20 min, take out and baste with sesame oil (I'd recommend lifting the thighs enough to drain off excess liquid first to help make the skin crispier) and bake another 10 min. Enjoy. :D
And that's about it, really. :) Hope everyone is having a good time. <3
That's what Pi said...

>.>

So I've been pretty MIA this week, which probably no one has noticed. But I'll get back to not being a fail friend on Saturday. :D My life has been consumed, my friends, by the fic rec post of doom. I can't do anything like that halfway, of course, and spent, ohhhh, I don't know 20 hours over the last 4 days compiling it. XD But let me tell you. It's been awesome. I got to find fics I'd forgotten, and fics I hadn't, but hadn't been able to find. I know it's not complete, but at 163 fics and over 50 authors, I think it's complete enough that I can stop devoting all my free time to it. So anyway. I hope you all enjoy it even if you only find one fic you really like. Thanks to those of you who let me whinge about it (and there was whinging). You're the best. I'll catch up on everything Saturday, so I hope you've all been well. <3 I kind of miss you. lol

In parting, I leave you with this which is pertinent to the situation (because I know you all only miss my Pi saids):

Tara: I am mature
Tara: I was trying to type out a title and accidentally typed "poopsicles" and was already auto-pilot deleting and retyping when I started giggling
Zoe: hahahahaha XDDD
Zoe: it's okay >.>
Zoe: sometimes you've just gotta let out your inner 12 year old <.<
Tara: no you see
Tara: the problem is... I'm not sure how to get it back IN
Zoe: that's what Pi said >.>
Tara: oh fuck. And that's what Pi said. XD XD XD When he was really drunk.
Zoe: XDDD
Zoe: *high five* XD

'Tis the Season

I want everyone to hear about two amazing discoveries I have made. 1. Solar power technology was being developed in the 1800s. How crazy is that? 2. Frozen Cool Whip is AWESOME.

My thanksgiving was great. Got to see the fam, eat good food, write with Amy. Couldn't have asked for a better one, honestly. And the following day I helped my mom decorate the Christmas tree. It was so good to see some ornaments we'd made when I was 5, or 8, or that mom bought for us as we were growing up, or the beautiful spun glass ones my mother so lovingly puts on every year (and sometimes let us put up, like a little reward when we were older... boy we were easy. XD). Sadly she lost one of her favorites somewhere, but I hope we'll find it in the future.

So it's been hinted at that I should do this wish list that ryogrande started. I'll be honest that it makes me a little uncomfortable if only because I worry people will think I need them to do something on it. I totally don't. But I also know that sometimes I think to myself that I would REALLY love to do something for this person, but I don't really know what I could do. A wish list eliminates that problem. So if I can do that for you, I will. Hopefully you'll do it for me, too. :D

As we make our way through this holiday season, I'm finding myself more and more grateful for all of you. I'm thankful you're my friends, and some of us have been together for 2 years, some of us only a week, regardless, I'd like to keep getting to know all of you and having fun with you. Thank you for being with me. <3
