GFAS requires a non-refundable application fee for new applicants based on a sliding scale of your total annual expenses for the last applicable fiscal year.  This application fee applies to any organization applying for accreditation or verification.  All amounts below are U.S. dollars. Payment will be required for consideration of application materials.

Annual and application fees help offset some of the costs of the accreditation process, including a portion of site visits, as well as other expenses related to program services for Accredited and Verified facilities (which may include workshops, webinars, GFAS staffing, and other support).

The application fee is due after the first form in the application process (self-assessment checklist) has been completed and submitted.

After Paying the Application Fee

Once your application fee is submitted, please watch your email inbox (and spam/junk folder) for a confirmation message from GFAS. This email includes:

  • Receipt for your application fee payment
  • Next steps in the application process
  • Access instructions for the online application portal, where you will complete the Operations and Animal Care sections and upload required documents
