For any folks doing captains...
I've noticed (as I'm sure others have) that each captain has a different colour lining to their captain's cloak, so I thought I would make a reference list:

Had a couple of thoughts...
For those of you doing Shinigami costumes, I had a brainwave about the sandals tonight at work. Also had a brainwave about the Lt. badges.
Lt. badges one first, cause it's short. For the placard thing, use a piece from a birdhouse kit like the kind you buy for kids to put together (it should be about the right size adn shape and you won't have to cut a board to size) and do the squad number and flowerthingy with a black permanent marker or (if you have access to such a thing) a woodburning kit.
Now, for the sandals:
