musical called Всё о Золушке/All about Cinderella and basically all i've heard about it is that its good. and there's an album. and apparently it has SUCH a fun overture. its so cartoonish and FUN and pleasant and tickles my brain and honestly i didnt expect it to be like that! and its just really good

ALSO. speaking of really good intro songs from musicals that stick with you and you cant get past them further into the album. there's an acapella (!) musical called Айсвилль/Iceville. it has only 14 songs but its insanely good, there are 9 actors/voices and the entire musical is sang acapella. the story is about girl named eve who died after coming to the "small cold island of Iceville, in the town of eternal winter" searching for her lost friend, and the musical follows the investigation of her death. in the intro song a police inspector asks the iceville folks about eve and its just. a really really good song.
