Morrigan's throwing axe is part of the Morrigan's equipment, obtained from killing Revenants in the Forinthry Dungeon and as a very rare drop from the Chaos Elemental. It was released on 15 October 2008 during the PvP worlds update.

Unlike most of the Ancient Warriors' equipment, Morrigan's throwing axes do not degrade as they are a stackable weapon.

The Morrigan's throwing axe can be upgraded to the superior Morrigan's throwing axe using an ancient warriors' equipment patch. This upgrades it to tier 88, and makes it augmentable. 100 axes are needed to make the upgraded version, which degrades with charges of combat and is retained upon use (like a Sunspear). However, the superior version degrades to dust.

Morrigan's javelin and throwing axe are the third strongest non-degradeable thrown weapons, after Death Lotus darts and Elite Death Lotus darts. Morrigan's equipment is tradeable and do not have the other requirements associated with the latter, but lacks offhand counterparts.

Morrigan's throwing axe's special attack, Hamstring

Hamstring is the special attack of Morrigan's throwing axe. It costs 50% adrenaline, strikes the opponent for 150-170% ability damage, and prevents them from using movement abilities for 9 seconds.
