Friending Policy: Most of my LJ is friends-locked. I have always been careful to avoid making my life too public and I am completely out here. I am fairly liberal about friending people back, though.

What goes on in this LJ? Well, generally, I'm talking about teaching. I recently finished my first year of teaching which featured an astonishing neglect of LJ. This summer I hope to be more active. I have NO IDEA what I'm doing in the fall.

I also talk about Gaia Community, hanging with my friends, and am slowly writing a series of posts about how I've become myself. Some of these are like a life story; others are introspection. A few are tightly filtered and I may add you once I know you better.

Finally, I am a fangirl. The fandom I'm squeeing about changes like the weather. The likely suspects are Doctor Who, Torchwood, Glee, Harry Potter, Bones, House, and Buffy. Lately, though, I've had to cut down on my TV watching in order to concentrate on school. Also, I have more friends here in KC than I've ever had in my life and, well, I don't need fandom to avoid loneliness anymore, although I do appreciate the years that fandom was how I found friends and the ones I still have because of it.
