RTS Cue Manager

Timed audio cues for RTS games. Build a gameplan, start it when your match begins, and the app you audio cues while you play. A game overlay also allows you to have notes easily accessible for build orders.

How it works

You organize your strategy into gameplans, sequences, and timers. A gameplan is your whole strategy. Each sequence is one phase of it. Each timer is a single cue that plays a sound on a schedule. When the game shifts to a new phase, one hotkey press cycles you to the next sequence and its cues start automatically.

This helps you to develop a macro cycle in game, and recognize your mistakes while playing, instead of during a match review. 

Features

 A small always-on-top overlay shows your running timers over the game, and you can lock it so your mouse clicks pass straight through it. Use the included sounds, record your own voice callouts with your mic, or drop in any WAV file. Four color themes. A built-in tour walks you through everything on first launch.

Installing

Download the zip, unzip it anywhere, and run RTS Cue Manager.exe. No installer.

The first time you run it, Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" message. This happens with any small app that isn't from a big publisher. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". You only have to do it once.

Windows only. Built and tested alongside Age of Empires 2 DE, but nothing about it is AoE2-specific: it works with any game where timed callouts help.

Last word

Due to concerns of unfair play, I suggest you only use this as a training tool against friends and AI opponents to sharpen your skills.
