Sosei (i.e. reborn or resurrected) RPG is a Harry Potter AU RPG that takes place after Deathly Hallows. It is set in 1998, with the new school year beginning on September 1st.
Having just barely started to pick up the pieces (literally and figuratively) following the demise of the Dark Lord, the Wizarding community will soon be dissolved into chaos once more. There are rumours, whisperings of another dark force lurking out there who has decided that the land and its inhabitants shall not be returned to peace just yet. This person has discovered an ancient magic, long forgotten, that allows them to bring the dead back to life, not just as Inferi, but as fully aware as they once were. However, being brought back to life has its price...some are reborn as shadows of their former self, some have had their beliefs altered entirely, some have seemingly been brought back as they once were (or have they?). The Wizarding community is at a loss as to how to handle the return of their loved ones and the villains that were thought to be dead. While they need to find the dark wizard responsible, what if he or she decides to bring one of their loved ones back?
Sosei is loosely based on HP canon and the canon of our previous RPG, Occlumency on GJ. Given this, some characters have prior history with others. Our players are friendly and open-minded, so don't be too worried! If you wish to apply for a character that was killed off in the war, you may do so, based on the major plotline. You will need to think of how you want your character to be once they have been reborn and discuss this with the moderator in your application. Once approved, you will be given the details of when, where, and how your character comes into the roleplay.

--Spelling and grammar are a must! Please type properly and do NOT use abbreviations such as "u" and "ur" for words, unless perhaps, you are playing Arthur Weasley.
--Please be aware that while there is no age restriction on this RPG, mature content is likely to occur. Please mark all logs accordingly and post sensitive matter behind lj cuts.
--While this is more of a relaxed RP than I've run in the past, please update and participate regularly. While I don't want this to ever get in the way of real life, it is nice to know what your characters are up to!
--Please do not god mode another player's character without their permission first (no using someone else's characters in logs, journal entries, etc without their prior knowledge and consent).
--Original characters are allowed, to a degree. No Mary Sues or Gary Stus running around, please!
--If you have OOC issues with another player in the game, please contact a moderator before the situation gets out of hand. We are drama free here. Attacks on another player will not be tolerated.
--Run any major plotlines by the moderator first. We're open to any ideas you might have, but do not put a major plot into action that might affect other characters without a discussion first.
--Please lock all journal entries posted to the communities. It is preferred that you lock individual journal entries as well, but that is up to your discretion.
