I cannot believe it’s been almost a year. Wow. How the hell did that happen? I guess I really don’t come to LJ any more. I do still hang out on AO3 though and a bit on Tumblr. I’ve become a much more visual person since I started hanging out on Tumblr. There is just some gorgeous stuff being posted *all* the time! You should really check it out. Prepare to be dazzled! And have time slip away from you. You’ll look up and it will be *hours* later.

Still primarily Teen Wolf focused, still very much a Sterek fan. And Avengers as well. Haven’t really picked up any new fandoms though I will read a good Kane/Toews fic. I’ve never seen a hockey game or even watched an interview with them. I think I followed a link for a favorite author somewhere, I dunno. Now I click on a link for them if the story sounds good. I occasionally explore some of the stories being posted on AO3 in a previous fandom, but not too often.

I signed up to do the mini_wrimo thing again this year. Really hope to do better this year than last. I fell into a black hole at work and didn’t come back out till this past June with the go live of the new system at work.

I have been super busy lately. We just had a birthday for my three youngest, so had a nice dinner and cake for each one on their day. Then we had a huge party for all three of them, with lots of food, cake, 3 piñatas, and lots and lots of candy. And lots of kids and their parents running around. It was nice though. A lot of work before and a lot of work after, but totally fun. It was really nice to see everyone who came. The kids are already looking forward to next year. The hubby is too!

I have been very busy at work. We just went through a huge transition to a brand new system, which included new hardware and new software for the entire hospital and clinics. It only took two years of long days and late nights. Still trying to catch up, actually. We also got reassigned to new areas of support so lots of learning going on and meeting new people. It’s been a little challenging which is good; it keeps life interesting. We support computers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, phones, tablets, and now we support Macs as well as Windows PC so I’m always learning, whether or not I want to.

I also just finished taking a college class for a certification for work. Now I just have to take the test so I can show that I actually learned something. I keep meaning to do the studying, but can’t find the time. I do have to study though because I promised the hubby I’d get a certificate for his company next. I am planning to go to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill next year so I intend to finish the certificates this year so I can concentrate on that next year.

I have lost 45 lbs so far. Yay me! \o/\o/\o/ The doctor told me that with my genetic history I was going to be diabetic so I had to lose weight. I've been working on it since the beginning of the year. I am using Nutrisystem and I'm walking everywhere. I'm still working to see where I end up. I would rather be on a diet for a while and not for the rest of my life, you know.

So I’m always running. With 4 kids at home now, – CI returned home during the summer to return to school ; JS is still in Ashville with the grandbaby [who is now 5 years old (How is that even possible? wow!)] – helping with homework, work, and studying, and doing company stuff for the hubby while he’s gone during the week, life is a little crazy. Crazy but good.

Donna can’t help feeling guilty. She and Rachel have been friends for years. She knows Mike’s secret and why he won’t tell Rachel. The possibility of Rachel telling is real, either by accident or in a fit of rage after Mike breaks her heart. Because he will. The way that he looks at Harvey when he thinks nobody is watching gives him away. When Harvey finally decides to stop pretending he’s not looking back just as much will be the end of MikeandRachel.

The only thing that she can do is be there for Rachel. “Wanna go get a drink?”

Derek stopped Stiles’ babble with a gentle nip to his lower lip. “What do you want?”

Taking a deep breath, Stiles started speaking again, “I’ve never done this before. I want to do it right.”

With a press of his lips against the corner of Stiles’ mouth, Derek whispered, “there isn’t a right or a wrong way. It’s about what feels good. Does this feel good?”

Derek licked his way into Stiles’ mouth, catching Stiles’ moans on his tongue.

Letting his head fall back, trying to catch his breath, Stiles gasped, “Yes.”

Since I don't have to pay $140 a week in daycare any more \o/\o/ I had a little more discretionary income this month. I decided to spend some to treat myself. I donated some to the Obama campaign by buying some t-shirts and buttons and got some t-shirts from cafepress as well. I actually may have gone a little overboard at cafepress because I got one for me, the hubby, and the kids. We are all going to be walking billboards for the president. =D

Another treat I got was some tea. The kids and I will go through a tea-drinking phase and we'll stock up on some good tea. This time, I found fandom-related tea! It was so cool. I don't really remember how I found it. I clicked on a link and then clicked on another and I stumbled across adagio tea. There were some fandom signature blends and I found a Teen Wolf version! Several, actually. I decided to try the following and got a 3oz pouch of each of them:

Sour Wolf
Snark Nerdy to Me
Ginger Fabulous
Everybody's Tea
Tea(se)

I couldn't resist with names like that. I also thought it was adorable that since some the characters featured were in 'ships with other characters, there was a discount for getting the teas together. The artwork was also very cute. I just got them last night. I tried the Lydia ginger/peach tea and it was scrumptious! Of course, I had to open the others and they all smelled soooo good! I can't wait to try the rest. Especially the Tea(se), the Derek/Stiles one because that one smelled *delicious*!

Wow. I knew it had been a while since I did a real update, but had no idea it was since June. When I posted about my yahoo mail going nuts, I just used an app. I took a look today. June 21st! Ok, lots of things happened and I cannot remember any of them. Other than KS started kindergarten. Her birthday is 11 days after the cut off date in NC so I had to jump through so many damn hoops and bend over backwards and do a few things that were "a bit not good". But! It was totally worth it because she is in school and looooves it.

Other than that, things are pretty much the same. Go home, go to work, go home, go to work... With a few trips to catechism class for the boys and to Walmart and the movies - even though I am limited to watching PG-13 because of the kids, I have gone to the movies a lot; KS is old enough to start sitting through an entire movie with minimal fuss now - thrown in there. The hubby still works out of town during the week so doing the single mom thing still. Both JC and CI live in Asheville now so have only the 3 youngest. All three are a handful individually, together they're making me go gray. Literally. Every day I find more gray hair, I swear. I'm going to end up looking like Jamie Lee Curtis one day. Well, maybe not quite like her. Though I wouldn't mind it one bit. I think she is one sexy woman.

I have been keeping myself busy. I don't run around on LJ ever; I really do mean ever. I get overwhelmed by the idea of how out of touch and out of the loop I am so I don't look. I have never run around on DW because I don't know where to go to find the good stuff. I run around a little on tumblr looking at pictures and fanart. OMG! The art is amazing. I am in awe of people who can draw. There is some beautiful, gorgeous stuff on tumblr. And some beautiful stuff on AO3 too! I cannot even begin to tell you how talented some fans are. Wow! Vids too!

I hang out on AO3 reading. I have been totally swept away by Teen Wolf - and yes, I mean by Sterek - so I read a lot of that. I also read some Avengers, especially everything Darcy, with a few threesome combos in the mix. I very recently - like in the last couple of weeks - caught up on watching Sherlock so I've been reading a bit of that. I also caught up on Doctor Who, - also in the last couple of weeks - but since I haven't seen the last episode I had to stop reading the fic in fear of "spoilers, sweetie" - just imagine River Song saying that in her gorgeous voice. I loooove that woman! Her and Amy and Rory. Well, the Doctor too, actually. Which is a surprise to me since I wasn't really a big fan of his, initially.

I am completely behind on Haven, Lewis, Grimm, Suits, White Collar, Supernatural, The Good Wife, Merlin, Criminal Minds, Leverage, Common Law, Once Upon a Time, Castle, and I don't even know what else, truthfully. I have watched Glee and Hawaii Five 0. Both of which I'm thinking about NOT watching any more, especially Glee. OMG, especially Glee. I don't even know why I've watched that other than the boys wanted to and because of Kurt. Other than that, I don't even know. I really don't. I will probably continue watching H50 just to see what else they've slipped past the bigwigs at CBS because somebody, somewhere is not paying attention to the stuff they're letting them get away with.

I haven't watched any new shows other than Elementary, which I'm very much on the fence about. I like both of the actors fine and, I think, both of the characters. I'm not quite so sure about the writing though, particularly the bit about ( Collapse ). It definitely hasn't grabbed me. I really like the BBC version much better. Both Watsons are excellent and BBCSherlock is phenomenal, but I like CBSSherlock ok, for right now. Although, if they keep doing more of the ( Collapse ) I'll probably stop.

That's an update on the state of me. Well, other than I signed up to do the mini_wrimo thing again this year. I'm already got ideas about what to write in my drabbles! I am very excited about that! I hope everyone has been doing well, while I've been MIA. Ha, ha. MIA. That's funny. Yeah, I'm a dork, I know. But I can't help it. I think I may have been spending too much time reading about teenage werewolves and the boy who runs with wolves - I feel like I should finish that with "and the wolf who loves him", but I'll leave it be. We'll just pretend I'm not that much of a dork.

“Everyone he works with.”

“That’s another thing. You know everyone he works with. You’ve gone to Paris, to LA, you even went to North Carolina when he did that bit part on Iron Man. You can’t say nothing is going on. What is it?”

Seeing the faint grimace on Kurt’s face at the waitress’ question, Noah stopped stirring.

“What’s the matter?”

“Nothing.”

Squeezing lemon into the tea and stirring, Noah hummed quietly.

“It’s nothing.”

“Try this.”

“It’s tea, Noah, I’ve had tea before.”

“Not like this. It’s different here. Try it.”

“It’s good.”

Kurt took another sip.

“Will you tell me what’s the matter?”

“Everyone keeps calling me sugar, honey, sweetheart, baby. I’m not a baby.”

“They don’t mean it like that. It’s a southern thing. They do that to everyone.”

“They don’t think I’m just a kid?”

“No.”
