A lot of good news!
I'm glad Higa got more say on the anime. I know mangaka don't hold a lot of power over anime adaptations as it is (unless they're big names, and even then...), but her not even receiving information about the anime production is awful. (It turned out her editors were approving things without her permission so it may not have been the anime company's fault, but yeah.)

I watched the first few episodes of Samurai 7 on IFC. I didn't get to see the entire series, so I don't know if I'd consider it a good series or a bad one, but I'm glad it's getting a chance on Toonami. I also hope Toonami's ratings are doing okay.

Lastly, I'm glad Himaruya's updating his blog again. I knew he wasn't completely gone from the scene - he was still doing the Birz strips, plus Chibisan Date, and work on volume 5 - but it's good to know that he wasn't going to abandon the blog like I secretly worried he would. (...Possibly an overreaction.) As for season 5 of the Hetalia anime - I'll watch it when the first episode comes out, but yeah, I'm a little worried. Maybe it'll turn out okay and I'm overreacting again. L-let's just hope?

Personal life stuff...I got stung by a wasp today. It came in through Dad's car window and it landed in my hair and I freaked out because I don't know a lot about wasps and I didn't know if getting stung by one could be deadly or not. It stung me on the clavicle. I'm doing okay, though.

I HAVE AN EXCUSE TO POST

New Sailor Moon anime announced for 2013!

What I know so far:

- Toei's animating it (as expected)
- It's not specified if the seiyuu for Usagi and Mamoru (who were at the event where it was announced) will reprise their roles (would be great if they did!)
- The new opening's going to be performed by Momoiro Clover Z 
- The new anime's intended for older fans of the anime (I wonder if it'll follow the manga more?)
- Sounds like they're aiming for a worldwide simulcast.

THIS IS BETTER NEWS THAN I EXPECTED! Though I wonder what's going to happen with the older anime....

Also, I'm making several edits to this post as I find out more information/fix any misinformation.

...I need to quit letting little things sour my mood. ;~;

I caught up with Smile Precure. It's the first Precure anime I've watched (and the ninth in the series), though I definitely intend to watch the first Pretty Cure. It's so cute! And happy! And the animation is really nice. I love all the characters, but I guess my favorites would be Akane, Yayoi, and Nao. 

I've really grown to love Asami in The Legend of Korra. She's proving to be an awesome character (which I did expect, and I'm glad to see it come true). Her and Korra's friendship is lovely. And also I ship it.

Tomorrow I have an eye doctor appointment, yessss. It's been a while. I know they're gonna tell me my eyesight's worsened. D: I'm just glad I'll get new glasses soon, because the ones I have now are 1) too loose and 2) I discovered a few light scratches on the lenses. Crap.

Well, at least I get to show off this new shirt I got. We bought two of them actually, since they were pretty cheap. One has a kitten on it and the other has a dog. ;3;

EDIT: Welp. Turned out my insurance, which we thought was eligible, wasn't, so...no appointment unless we paid for it. And of course we couldn't. Dammit, Mom, I wish I could rely on you...or knew how to handle stuff like this myself.

So based off the popularity of Adult Swim's latest April Fool's prank, it seems that Toonami might actually be coming back. And it'll air some new anime along with reruns of their other ones.

WHICH IS WONDERFUL. Even if I don't have a TV at the moment. But less about my woes, and more about my curiosity! Like what programs will they air.

Charlene Ingram, the brand manager for Hetalia and Panty and Stocking among a few other anime, made a Tumblr post saying how she'd love it if Toonami picked up PSG. I could see that.

I could see them picking up Tiger and Bunny possibly too, from what I've seen of it.

(And yes, I have to admit, there's that part of me that feels this anxiety too, wondering what type of new fans will flock over to the fandom and potentially bring in more wank. But I'm telling myself that in the end, I should just be glad that whatever programs air will get more recognition and more profits, not to mention the non-wanky fans who will be introduced to them and how wonderful it'll be for them.)

EDIT: Okay, it's been confirmed that Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins are going to air on Toonami, and that some of the other future programs being discussed are Panty and Stocking (!!), One Piece (AKLDJA;JDAJJD), Gundam Wing, Fairy Tail, and Inuyasha: the Final Act. I really hope they do well enough for this to happen. Please support them!

Today was both my dad's and my little brother's birthdays.

We went to Golden Corral to eat. (Also, I noticed they built a Zaxby's nearby. I never ate there. I am excite.)

I got full fast, which made me guilty, but it wasn't enough to keep me from getting ice cream. With caramel and M&Ms on top. Yum. There was this new contraption there, a chocolate fountain, so we had fun dipping strawberries and marshmallows in there. 

My brother turned 12 and my dad turned 52. I got sorta sad thinking about how much older we're all getting. I really hope we all live to really old ages. 

Anyway, afterward we went to Wal-Mart. We got some food and other necessities along with birthday and Mother's Day presents. There were these Star Wars plushies that my brother started squeeing over. (I did too; the Chewie one was adorable. ;3;) There were these Hello Kitty headphones that were so cool but I couldn't afford them. (There were also these cute speakers.) I did get, with my own money (a $10 bill I found while cleaning my room, lol) Sailor Moon vol. 4. Yay!
 
Fandom-wise...I'm really loving Legend of Korra, though I haven't seen today's episode yet. (Please no spoilers in the comments!) Even if I'm admittedly very annoyed with the fandom for several reasons. And Shirokuma Cafe! It's not an overly-exciting show, but I think it's cute and quite peaceful. I loved the newest episode with Grizzly; I was waiting for him to show up for quite a while. I love him! This was probably my favorite episode so far. (I also loved the one with Rin Rin.) And a new ED too? Or is this just a one-time thing? I liked it.

My paid account will expire on the 26th...I'm not going to renew it, but I wonder about my icons. I know I'll only have 15 icon spaces, but will it allow me to pick and choose what my icons can be, or will it totally remove all the other icons I have? 'Cause there are some of my newer ones I'd love to keep and they're not in my first 15 icon spaces.  (Did that sentence even make sense?)

I watched Shirokuma Cafe. Oh my God, it was so cute. I can't wait to see more. I already love Panda.

And I'm loving Legend of Korra so far and I can't wait to see more of that. And that Tahno dude. lolol

Oh, wow, it's been almost a month...

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while! 

My birthday was on the 17th. I'm now 19 years old. U u U

We went to the mall (lol). Sadly, F.Y.E. wasn't there anymore (it was closing down the last time we went), so I couldn't buy any anime or anime-related merchandise from there, but there was Hot Topic! I bought a Hatsune Miku shirt, even though I was planning on getting a Sailor Moon one. None of the designs available at the store were appealing to me, though. (There are some newer ones that will come out, including this really pretty Sailor Neptune one I'd love to own.) I also bought a shirt and a big ol' flowery skirt at Belk's that I wonder when or where I'll ever wear them. I suppose I'm at least prepared for any special occasion. 

Also bought some lotion and a cute turtle mirror at Bath and Body's and Ramune at Hot Topic. Dad bought me some stationary and Nucita (wish I could find it easily at a store nearby!) and my older brother got me a sketchbook, Prismacolor Scholar pencils (hell yeah!), earbuds, and a handcrafted mug. All in all, good gifts.

My only regret is that I hadn't gotten a tablet. /sobs But that's more my fault for not actually asking for one much. I give up too easily, I swear.

There's a lot of new anime coming out that I wanna watch. Black Rock Shooter, Inu x Boku SS, Mirai Nikki, Another, Smile Precure...as well as a lot of older titles and finishing the ones I've already started. I HAVE SO MUCH FREE TIME, WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG ;ajdaakj;d?
