The reason I (
Need to Know Basics:
2. You must be a member to post. All member entries must have a robot who plays a major part! The writing doesn't have to be from the robot's pov, but the robot must be central or crucial to the piece.
3. Drawings and art are encouraged whether included in your own work, for visual assistance, or fanart of someone's robot(s). You may also post art alone with no story if writing isn't your thing, just make sure it's under a cut same as the writing. GenAI "art" of any kind will not be tolerated. Those are not the robots we're looking for!
4. Robot OCs from existing fictional media are allowed! If you have robot OCs from any fandom we would love to see them! I prefer one fandom per post, except in the case of crossovers, of course. I ask you to not do more than 3 if there is a crossover
See example challenge post here
6. Make sure you post as entries to the community, NOT as comments to the challenge posts! You can either post directly to the community with
, or post to your own journal and just post a header that links here or crosspost - all is acceptable.A details disclosure tag will look like this:
click the arrow to learn the truth
you smellRatings in general use the AO3 rating format (G, T, M, and E)
9. If you have any questions or suggestions for challenges or other activities you may leave them at the Ideas and Inquiries post. And Tag Requests are to be handled over on the aptly named post.
BONUS: Feel free to collaborate with each other by merging worlds or making your robots interact with other member's robots (with proper permissions/agreements first!). Make sure to put full use into that category: collab tag
Tagging System:
Please refer to the tags already in use in the Tags page as reference for your entry. Tags should include a category, a rating, and a type (if your entry is non-romance use the type:gen tag). Entries may also use a fandom tag, if a fandom is present (fandom: "series name"). If you think a tag is missing/needed you can ask me at the Tag Requests post.
Explanation of the type: romo tag: this tag is meant as a nonbinary gender selection should robots and characters involved not be binary gendered and some manner of romance is involved (I needed another romance tag that wasn't gendered for such characters) or if you just want everyone to know "this one is nb."
If something is written about enough, for example: if wireplay comes up enough, I may add it for everyone to use more freely so people can find such reading material with ease.
In conclusion, please know that no one is required to participate in every challenge, though you're more than welcome to should the robots tickle your processor just right ;)
Let's have fun writing and talking about robots!
