it sucks that there’s barely any gender neutral terms to refer to a person that aren’t really clunky because the english language and general everything is so centered on men and then people will be like “ah but the solution is to de-gender ‘guys’ and 'dude’ and 'fella’ and…” like that doesn’t intrinsically center maleness by turning them into a genderless default…
