Date: 2021-05-01 13:53 (UTC)The Love's Labours trilogy is a set of short books (novellas?) about the same m/m couple, who are actors meeting at a summer outdoor theatre programme. Warning that the middle one has a plot which is basically "huge social embarrassment caused by failure to communicate; this asshole is lucky his family is forgiving".
A Queen From The North has a het couple at the centre but some queer minor characters. (It's also contemporary AU Britain with a big dose of obsession with the Wars of the Roses, which I rolled with but might frustrate people who know more about said Wars than I do.)
After the Gold has a het couple and Ink and Ice has an m/m couple; they're both set in figure-skating with a side-plot of "building community through ice-hockey" in the second one.
All of them have a bit of magic in them, some more obviously than others. My favourites are probably A Queen From The North and Ink and Ice but I've yet to find one of their books I haven't enjoyed, even the one with the massive social embarrassment plot.
