A/N: Ack, here I am writing solid Sano prompts and I see “Peace” pop up for the week and start laughing. Sano and peace? Well, I did ask for a challenge...

For the record, I love the Kenshin-gumi, I do. And I love Kaoru and Yahiko. But, to be fair, if Kenshin is down they are going to be focused on him and and injured Sanosuke would fade into the woodwork, so to speak. Which is part of how this premiss came about.

THE SMELL OF BLOOD BY AZUHRA [WEEK 8:FRAGANT]

Thought I might try my hand at some quick Rurouni Kenshin stories. I need to inspire myself I guess as I have a full chaptered story to complete and all... As it happens, I've been watching rk_challenge for ages and never joined or participated. I'm giving it a go now. Not for winning or prizes, but for the mental stimulation and the weapon in a war against writter's block.

A/N: I feel like I might have slightly missed the point on this one, as fragrance refers to good smelling things. I did mention good smelling things. I just wound up focusing on blood. I hope that works anyway?
