The other week, my therapist asked me whether there was anything I wanted to do before the baby comes (omgwtf less than three weeks left). At the time, I had a hard time thinking of things that weren't entirely implausible (like going on a freaking hike), but I did realize I very much wanted to do more writing, and actually finish this blasted fic.

So here it is.

Summary: After the events of "Such Sweet Sorrow," Ash and L'Rell have a conversation that exposes a lot of feelings, and eventually leads to a decision, and greater intimacy between them.

The Boy and I just binged all four Short Treks in lieu of our usual Saturday night movie. ( My reaction to each of the four shorts (including spoilers) under the cut... rated as if they were fanfic, because that's how I'm choosing to interpret them. )

Chapter Summary: In which Michael has a very nice morning which is ruined later in the day, and sees a very familiar face.

Notes: Holy crap I am so far behind, but I finally got another chapter finished! There are only two left, but my life right now is such that I make no promises about exactly when those will come out. I'm hoping to finish within a few months, but the next few months are looking... busy.

Since I didn't go to SDCC and was instead at a Pathfinder game with friends all day yesterday (not like Pathfinder interrupted plans to actually attend SDCC - I have never been and probably never will), upon getting home I promptly immersed myself in first Twitter, then the recorded Star Trek: Discovery panel, and then the season 2 the trailer.

Unsurprisingly, I have some thoughts. Or, more accurately, flailings.

And then more spoilers than usual because I think The Boy's Reddit habit ran him across something that's a major spoiler, and then he was like "Haha, listen to this crazy theory that a bunch of people seem to believe," and I was like "...Oh fuck I'm pretty sure that's actually true," and then my brain started putting together other disconnected pieces and guys, my brain just isn't a pretty place right now.
