Welcome to 
ringprov -- the Lord of the Ring's improv community. There are many drabble and ficlet challenge communities to be found -- more than enough for RPS. Here at RingProv, our focus will be on LotR character slash -- so, if improv is your thing, and you want to write about the Hobbits, or Elves, or Men, then this (hopefully) is the place to be.
Our rules.
1). NO Off Topic posts.
2). Slash, het, and gen are all allowed.
3). Please post all fics behind an lj-cut.
4). Try to follow this template (give or take as is needed):

5). Once every two weeks, a new challenge will be posted. The challenges will be posted on Sunday.
The challenge will consist of either a theme, or a mood and word set, and the time limit.
For example:
your character has a dream (whether it's good or bad, that's up to you), 30 minutes.
red, black, pink, yellow; festive, 45 minutes.
You will have two full weeks to write and post your story. Posting old fic, or stories from older challenges, is allowed.
6). The rules are really rather easy going - if you write and it goes over the time, or even if the story is finished after the two week period, you are still able to post. Please, in fact, do. The more the merrier.
