hi anon! im so sorry this is late… i lowk gave up on that series but here’s a mini snippet i was working on before T^T

“where the hell is sukuna?” you mutter to yourself. in all the time you have employed him, he has rarely ever been late. and even then, he’s never been more than ten minutes late. thirty minutes have now passed from the time sukuna was meant to be at your place. thankfully you weren’t missing anything too important but still! the asshole wouldn’t even answer his phone.

so when he does arrive at your place another ten minutes later, you almost throw your heels at his face. his face covered in… porridge?

“oh my days.. what happened to you? did you pick a fight in the nursing home or something?”

sukuna is practically heaving; you wouldn’t be surprised if he had ran the whole way to your place by the looks of him.

“my kid brothers were throwing a fit today,” sukuna groans as he wipes the stains off his uniform in a futile effort.

“so they threw oatmeal at you— wait, you have brothers?!”

sukuna looks at you as if you just asked him if he had both ears. “well yeah, two of them.”

“and you never thought to tell me? in all the time you’ve worked for me!”

sukuna doesn’t even know how you managed to drag him back to his house. you went under the excuse that he needed to change out of clothes. despite the fact that you have plenty extra uniforms for him at your place. upon arrival at sukuna’s house, you take a mental note of how.. well, homey it looked. it was definiately much smaller than your place but you could tell it held more character and soul.

before sukuna pushes the door open, he offers you a warning. “don’t expect too much, and don’t entertain the brats for too long. they’re like parasites, they’ll latch on to you if you show too much affection.”

and with that, sukuna opens the door only for a pillow to be thrown at his face.

“intruder!”

“it’s me, idiot!”

“liar! our big brother is meaner and said he wouldn’t be back until later!”

you peer around sukuna’s figure to see a miniature sukuna standing a few feet away, holding another pillow and preparing to fire it. he seems to have seen you as well and gets even more fired up. “see! my big brother doesn’t hang around pretty girls! he scares them off-”

the poor boy is cut off by sukuna throwing the first pillow at his face. the pillow lands hard enough to force the boy onto the ground.

sukuna lets you in and introduces you to boy, who’s name is yuji. sukuna’s mini twin refuses to let go of the pillow, holding onto it as a knight grasps his lance. “so did he kidnap you or something, miss?”

“actually it’s probably the other way around,” you laugh.

yuji looks at you as if you’ve grown three more heads. “but why would you want him?”

“he’s pretty scary so he was perfect!”

“i think there’s something wrong with you, miss.”

“maybe,” you agree with a shrug.

unbeknownst to you, sukuna watches the interaction and the way you talk to his little brother as if you were already friends. it wasn’t a shock for his brother to be chatty with a stranger and now that he thinks of it, he really shouldn’t put it below you to befriend kids that are barely in the double digits. you practically have the same iq points as yuji anyways.

“don’t bother her too much yuji,” sukuna says to his younger brother, “sit on the couch, i gotta change. yuji, where’s choso?”

“he went to get us snacks from across the street.”

“with what money?”

“you left your wallet on the counter.”

you hear sukuna mutter some profanities under his breath before he disappears down the hall. you chuckle a little bit then direct your attention back to the little boy in front of you.

“your name is yn, right?” yuji asks. “he talks about you alot, calls you his boss.”

the two of you move to the couch a you answer him, “well i am the one paying him so it’s nice to hear he at least calls me boss to other people. not like he ever calls me that to my face.”

“you’re super famous too, aren’t you?”

“sorta? i’m in some movies but i think you’re a little too young for a few of them.”

“sukuna lets me and choso watch game of thrones with him. are you in that?”

“game of thrones?” you repeat. “how old are you?”

“i’m 8.”

“and you’re brother, choso?”

“he’s 11.”

in this moment, you consider cutting sukuna’s paycheck a little by having such young boys watch such explicit media. as if he was summoned, the door opens to reveal another young boy with black hair put into two messy ponytails. he closes the door behind him with his foot since his hands were full of paper bags filled with who knows what.

“hey cho! this is boss lady! she wasn’t in game of thrones,” yuji introduces.

way to rub it in, you can’t help but think to yourself. you wave to the boy but he seems a little more shy than yuji. you hear him mutter a small greeting before he goes to the kitchen and puts the paper bags on the counter. a few moments later, he returns with some snacks and a small carton of flavored milk.

“we’re told to offer drinks to guests,” choso mumbles.

you thank him for the treat as yuji speaks up. “but you’re the first lady guest we’ve gotten! you must be pretty special to our big brother, huh miss boss lady?”

“uhm well—”

“ i thought i told you not to bug her.” sukuna emerges from the hallway, in a clean uniform this time.

“we weren’t!”

“sure, you weren’t,” sukuna rolls his eyes before he directs his attention to you. “ready to go?”

“just waiting on you.” you stand from the couch and ruffle yuji’s hair as you thank choso once more. “bye boys, it was nice meeting you!”

“nice meeting you too!” they both repeat, though yuji much louder than choso. “you should bring her around more.”

“fat chance, don’t eat all the food and quit stealing money from my wallet.”

choso speaks up, “maybe don’t leave your wallet next time.”

“shut it,” sukuna says flicking choso’s forehead and then yuji’s just because. “don’t call unless you’re actively dying, alright.” the boys wave goodbye as you and sukuna leave and head back to the car. “y'know, i can totally see you being that kind of big brother.”

“what’s that supposed to mean?”

“its just— y'know? you have adorable kid brothers and you’re this super grumpy older brother. fits your vibe.”

“yeah well it’s the last time you’re seeing them. brats wouldn’t shut up about me bringing you over,” sukuna sighs.

“oh yeah? you talk about me a lot at home?” you grin teasingly.

“of course i do.” sukuna’s blunt response takes you by shock until he continues. “i gotta rant to someone about how annoying my boss is.”

oh he’s getting that pay-cut for sure now.
