TWS - Nice to see you again

My kpop nephews have just made their Japan debut, and it is full on refreshing shoujo manga vibes. The MV has a lot of Easter eggs if you've watched their earlier MVs, and the song is youthful and sentimental. I adore it.


Seventeen - Thunder

Meanwhile their labelmates Seventeen celebrated their tenth debut in May in style with a new studio album that included some full group tracks plus 13 solo albums. The title track "Thunder" is a club banger that reminds you that they really are a bunch of Bigbang fanboys. Is it a good song? Maybe not. Do I enjoy the nonsense? Yeah.


The solo tracks are unsurprisingly a bit hit and miss. I think my favorites are: Destiny (Woozi solo) and 99.9% (Wonwoo solo). (This is should not be a surprise since they are two of my favorite members! Since the album came out, members Woozi and Hoshi have both announced their military enlistment dates, so they really are getting deep into their enlistment era. (9 of the 13 members need to do mandatory Korean military service, 2 have already started.)
