Thank you so much for writing for me! I love the Sex Pollen trope and I think this exchange is going to be so much fun! I’ve summarised my requests and freeform tags below so it’s all in one handy place for you. (I have no clue what's going on with some of the formatting, sorry!)

Doctor Who - 1963

I’ve divided my Doctor Who requests into two categories: tags I thought would work really well for an Earth-set fic, and tags that would be fun set off on an alien planet somewhere, anywhere in time and space. This is the Earthbound request, featuring some of my favourite ships from my favourite era: I adore UNIT and I’d love to see how they deal with unexpected, accidental exposure to sex pollen.

Benton/Yates is one of my all-time favourite Doctor Who ships: I love how obviously fond of each other they are, and how much they respect each other’s skills and drive. For this pairing, I would especially enjoy a fic featuring Feelings Realisation or one where mutual pining turns into the beginning of a relationship <3

For Benton/Yates/Brig, I’d prefer a fic featuring a one-off, casual encounter that is driven entirely by the sex compulsion device you choose to employ. I’m good with a fic wherein everyone is having an excellent time, or one where there is plenty of stoic awkwardness whilst they muddle through alleviating the compulsion. If you want to throw in some feelings realisation or intense appreciation of each other’s body for Benton/Yates within the context of the threesome, that would be fine, and I’d be happy with an epilogue where Benton & Yates begin a relationship or wind up having sex (planned or unplanned) just the two of them as a direct result of the sex compulsion encounter, but the Brig’s part in the tale shouldn’t involve romantic feelings please.

Liz/Brig is a bit of a guilty pleasure pairing, given Alistair’s marital status, but I do think their constant irritation with one another is masking a healthy dose of unwilling attraction. I love the sex pollen trope as a vehicle for forcing characters to act on an attraction they’d really rather not be feeling, so I’d really enjoy a fic that leans into that vibe.

Ian/Barbara is my OTP; I adore their relationship and how they transition from good friends who are secretly rather attracted to one another, but not enough to act on it, to literally being the centre of each other’s universe. I’d be happy with a fic set anywhere along that continuum, but I do love the sex pollen trope as a vehicle for either Feelings Realisation or the fulfilment of mutual pining, so a first-time-together, friends-to-lovers fic would be especially appreciated.

Sarah/Harry is a bit of a guilty pleasure ship as it takes a little bit of reading between the lines, but I just love how they bicker and how protective they are of each other. For this ship, I’d prefer a first-time-together fic, whether that’s a casual encounter driven by the sex compulsion device, after which they remain friends, or a Feelings Realisation experience after which they begin a romantic relationship. I’d be equally happy with either take.

Ben/Polly: I love Ben & Polly’s teamwork and the way they look out for each other and obviously care deeply for one another. I’ve chosen this particular ship as the romantic relationship is actually canon, and I think an established relationship sex pollen fic could be really fun. How does this sexual encounter compare to their other encounters? Is it more exhilarating and intense than usual, or more relaxing because their inhibitions are lowered and they’re not concerned about having to find a quiet corner of the TARDIS? Does one partner normally take charge a bit more, and is that reversed in this situation? Does the sex compulsion device also compel them to experiment with new positions? Does it reveal kinks they didn’t know they had, or that they’d been unsure how to bring up?

Biggles Series – W.E. Johns

James "Biggles" Bigglesworth / Erich von Stalhein (either or both affected)

Biggles/EvS is one of my favourite pairings in this fandom, and one which has infinite possibilities for the sex pollen trope. I’d be delighted with any fic you come up with using the tags I’ve selected, but I’ve included a few ideas below in case it helps to spark inspiration. For a fic set during the enemy era, I’d prefer a first-time-together fic that either prompts Feelings Realisation or assuages mutual pining; for a fic set post-Sakhalin, I’d be happy with either a first-time-together fic that assuages mutual pining, or an established relationship fic that draws comparisons to their usual sexual encounters and/or explores how <i>this</i> encounter causes their relationship to evolve.

-       Enemy era: Erich gets caught up in his cohorts’ decision to administer some form of sex compulsion device and/or truth serum to a captive Biggles

-       Enemy era: Biggles & Erich encounter sex pollen in the wild – preferably in some kind of exotic tropical island or jungle-style setting

-       Post-Sakhalin: Biggles & Erich are captured together and subjected to some form of deliberate or accidental sex compulsion device by their captors

-       Post-Sakhalin: Biggles & Erich are accidentally exposed to sex pollen/fuck gas/some other form of sex compulsion device in a UK-based urban setting

-       Whilst investigating a case, Biggles & Erich find themselves inside an ornate greenhouse on a fancy country estate. One or more of the plants inside have some… interesting side effects.

I love a hatesex vibe for Algy & EvS, and the sex pollen trope is an excellent vehicle for forcing that. I’d love a fic featuring a one-off sex-compulsion-driven encounter that they’re reluctant to engage in and even more reluctant to admit they actually enjoyed.

I don’t normally ship Biggles/Algy, but I do love the sex pollen trope as a vehicle for character-driven smut between different pairings. For this ship I’d love an interwar fic set before <i>Black Peril</i>; I feel like a <i>Flies Again</i> kind of vibe would work really well for the concept, but I’d be happy for it to take place at any point between their early twenties and mid-thirties. I’m only looking for a casual encounter for this relationship, with a strong vibe of stoically helping each other out with whatever is necessary – no mutual pining or Feelings Realisations here, please!

Richard "Dickpa" Bigglesworth / Roger "Malty" Maltenham (either or both affected)

I love the undertone of attraction between Dickpa & Malty, and I feel like they’re perfect subjects for the sex pollen trope for a number of reasons: they have canonical adventures that could conceivably bring them into contact with sex pollen or a cursed object; the age difference means that mutual pining requiring a catalyst to bring about consummation is a very likely course for their relationship; and Malty’s history with drug abuse brings an interesting additional angle – how do the sensations of sex compulsion compare or correlate to an opium or morphine high, and does that past experience mean his experience of the sex compulsion is significantly different to Dickpa’s? I would love a character-driven mutually-pining-friends-to-lovers fic that explores some or all of these factors; setting and detail entirely at your discretion.

I love the friendship between Tex and Ferocity, and I also enjoy the possibility that it could be something more. It would be fun to explore their relationship through the context of the sex pollen trope: would a one-off externally-compelled encounter be something their friendship could survive? Would it end their camaraderie, or could it develop into something more than friendship? I especially like the ‘mutually-pining-but-very-much-in-denial characters’ tag for this pairing, and I’d love to see some very unexpected (to them!) Feelings Realisation and some exploration of how they navigate those unchartered waters. I’d really love a fic where the sex is first-time-together but also first-time-with-a-man (potentially with a side of Sexuality Realisation leading to exploration or Sexuality Realisation that causes deeper denial) either just for Tex or for both of them.

I love the sex pollen trope as a vehicle for throwing unlikely pairings together for some one-off shameless smut – it’s so interesting to explore how different characters might fit together sexually outwith the context of mutual pining or romantic relationships. This request is basically carte blanche to take any two characters that fit the relationship tags and have a bit of fun with them – I’m sure to enjoy anything you come up with!

I would enjoy any fic fitting the selected tags wherein Jeeves stoically lends a helping hand with Bertie’s unexpected affliction; I’d also love a fic where Jeeves (either solo or with Bertie’s assistance) offers similar help to any of Bertie’s friends from the Drones Club.

Alternatively, a fic where Jeeves is the one affected and it is up to a nonplussed Bertie to come to his assistance would also be a lot of fun; I’d love to see Jeeves attempting to remain perfectly put-together and in control whilst fighting the effects of any form of sex compulsion.
