Kinda give hole in the wall, very small, but upscaled. 5-7pm six Oysters and a draft beer for $13 as of May 2026. The waitresses are pleasant, nice. The menu is very affordable for the quality of food you are getting. They say everything comes in on a day to day basis with no freezer. Made me want to try. I got the Merlin with crème and caviar. First time having crème and caviar, not sure what’s the hype about yet, it was no big deal. Very eh. The Merlin tasted good and fresh. It covers on a block of Himalayan salt and I was excited for that, being it was my first time. The oyster happy hour, chefs choice. I don’t mind. You get three east coast, three west coast. I enjoyed the east coast more thoroughly due to their petite size. I was intrigued by their oyster shot. “Dirty tomato juice” not sure what that means but it was very spicy and unpleasant. Also made myself drink it. And lastly I got the squid ink pasta which is a favorite of mine though here, I didn’t enjoy the flavors they chose for it. Had to make myself eat it. All in all, I’d probably come back for the oysters and beer, and maybe try their shrimp. I spent $60 on a solo dinner, ordering modestly. Oh and the bill comes with a piece of whiskey cake which I enjoyed. Price per person: $60–70 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Happy Hour Oyster Selection

Valentines day Disaster One Star — Speed Dating, But With Oysters I’ve been coming to the Upstate Craft Beer & Oyster Bar for years, but apparently loyalty means nothing when Valentine’s Day rolls around and management decides to run the restaurant like a fast-food drive-thru with tablecloths. Their “romantic” policy: you have exactly one hour, in and out. Sounds doable, right? Except… • It took 20 minutes for someone to take our order. • Another 10 minutes for food to arrive. • Which left us about 30 minutes to eat… • And then — surprise! — we were politely but firmly asked to leave. So let me get this straight: we spent half our time waiting, and the other half chewing like contestants on a competitive eating show. Nothing says “Valentine’s Day” like inhaling oysters with a countdown clock and a waiter circling the table like airport security. I’ve had dentist appointments that felt more relaxed. The staff acted like this was totally normal, as if couples dream of celebrating love by being rushed out the door with half a cocktail left. This policy doesn’t feel festive — it feels greedy. It doesn’t say “we value our customers.” It says, “We value flipping tables and maximizing cash flow.” Which is fine — just don’t pretend it’s hospitality. Longtime, loyal customers should not be herded out the door like it’s last call at a bus terminal. The food is not good enough to justify the ridiculous experience. The message was loud and clear: this night wasn’t about hospitality, romance, or repeat guests. It was eat, pay, rotate. Mission accomplished - you have rotated these loyal customers too. So If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a meal, conversation, and maybe a moment of joy, look elsewhere. If you want to feel rushed, mildly insulted, and aware of the passage of time, this is your spot. If the goal was to create an unforgettable Valentine’s experience, congrats — We will never forget how unwelcome we felt. We won’t be back. Plenty of places serve beer and oysters without treating dinner like a timed exam. Tip for future diners: Bring a stopwatch and stretch beforehand. You’ll be sprinting through your entrée.
