We were celebrating family birthdays and wanted an unpretentious restaurant with great food, wine and friendly service. Agapes totally hit the spot and more. Immediately inside you feel in a cosy, relaxed atmosphere, no show off or ostentatious vibes. The menu is set, and what a joy to not have to choose and to trust the chef, that’s true luxury to me. Incredible emulsions, foams and flavours with each dish, beautiful ceramics and beautiful presentation for the “to die for” food. The wine selection is fantastic, and service excellent. Very reasonable prices for what tastes like Michelin star cooking. Can’t wait for the new menu to go back. Thank you all at Agapes for a delicious evening.
